Been here before and went back to get some of their apple cider donuts. They are made fresh on site and are very tasty. Donuts were good and the service was good

Excellent new destination when enjoying Lake St. Catherine. Otto's is a quaint little log cabin where you can get sundries for your camping experience, fantastic ice cream or a delicious meal to go or dine outside under an umbrella table. The mini golf course is a cute distraction for kids so parents can sit and enjoy a rest.
You can purchase alcohol onsite, but are not allowed to imbibe on the premesis.
The food is terrific, definitely enormous portions and home cooked. Try the meatloaf sandwich. You won't be disappointed.

Consider Bardwell Farm (named after the original (1864) founder and cheese-maker Consider Stebbins Bardwell) is an active working farm in the graceful rolling hills of Pawlet Vermont. You can stop in and wander the farm -- the goats are a charming and attractive herd on the property -- and you can purchase cheese and make a picnic there at the farm using their honor system of payment. In addition to the Farm, their cheese can be found locally at the Dorset Farmers Market and at many of the local groceries. The cheeses are named after the local towns -- Dorset, Pawlet, Rupert, Manchester and Danby -- and each is deliciously different. I particularly liked Pawlet and Rupert, but try them all! The Farm can be found either by car along the beautiful Route 158, or can be entered through a dirt road from the rear of the farm along the D&H Railtrail bike path. You will know you have reached the farm when you see the goat herds and hear the baby goats braying. Biking along the path with the bare bones of a picnic to be supplemented with Consider Bardwell Cheese makes for a wonderful Vermont outing. The rail trail itself winds through varied scenery and is one of the most beautiful rail trails I have been on. You see the rolling hills, farms, red barns, ponds, the Bardwell goats, birch forests and fields of wildflowers. The path is not paved, and is pretty rustic, but a lovely ride nonetheless.

The Slate Valley Museum is in its 21st year. Started by a group of historians and slate industry leaders, it's one of the best resources for historical and geographical information about Granville and the slate valley (Granville, and its Vermont neighbors). The First Friday events, hosted in conjunction with the Pember Library & Museum across the cultural campus, are great opportunities for local storytellers, artists, musicians, and foodies to get involved! It's a must see in Granville.
Check out the calendar of events to see if they having anything special going on... this year is the year of the WPA (Works Progress Administration)... and they have ongoing book discussions, fireside chats, and other interesting programming!

We were traveling VT in the summer looking for some swimming with young children and this was a great choice. It's a beautiful midsize lake and the state park had an easy rocky beach for the public. Lovely temperature in August. Great example of lakes in this region

I love this shop, we have been here several times over the years and always seem to find the perfect outfit or accessory. My husband and I were at the shop today to find me a special dress for an upcoming wedding. We found a classic Tribal black dress, just perfect and there was a sale also. My husband was comfortable sitting in a nice chair while Ashley picked out outfits and assessories to try. Great setting and great customer service. I will return soon!

Have been visiting this place since the 1970s--on my visits to grandmas' homes. Well maintained, a huge variety of specimens you'd be hard pressed to see outside a major city. Please support and rake your kids there--such a fantastic memory as a kid and now as an adult.
