This review is of the new Otter Creek tasting room on Route 12 in Alexandria Bay. The new tasting room is larger than the one at their original location, and they offer not only tastings of their wines, but also of local craft beer and craft cider.
Their wines range from dry to sweet, and everyone can find something. The craft beer that they sell is made at the Adirondack Toboggan Brewery in nearby Gouverneur. The craft cider is made by Kaneb in Massena. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their wines, and will give you a chance to find something for your tastes.
They also have non alcoholic craft sodas.
Did I mention slushies? Wine slushies. Yes sir.

I bought some fresh apples and ate cider donuts that I am convinced were a religious experience. Watched the waterfall and observed what has to be the tiniest cider pressing operation ever! I loved that they sell local products and grabbed a cheese stuffed dill pickle which was also just stupid good. If I lived nearby, this would be a regular stop for me in apple season.

This is your typical small town race track. Structures are getting older and not real fancy. Most of the fans are either related or good friends to drivers.

I had never taken so many pictures of a library! Wow! It was so beautiful!
This building was given to become a library in honor to Roswell P. Flower. His statue is inside this library. There was one condition, to "devote no less than 5000 $ annually to the care and maintenance of the premises.
The outside was quite beautiful with 2 lions and a fountain.
Inside was even better. Marble was all over this library and there were several amazing paintings and lots of decorations. I continually looked at the ceiling, as it attracted my attention to it. So beautiful!
There are quite a lot of books in here and all are well arranged. There is even a children section.
This is the most beautiful library that I have ever seen! Wow!

The Thompson Park Zoo prides itself as being the only zoo in the world to exhibit species native to New York State. Abundant, threatened or endangered animals, including wolverines, black bears, eagles, mountain lions, Canada lynx, grey wolves, and more make their home at our 32-acre Zoo.
I walked around and wondered where all the usual zoo animals were. All I saw was a moose and Canadian Wolves. Rather then go on I asked where the animals were and I was told they only housed animals found in upstate NY.Good thing I did not have to pay as I don't feel it was worth the price. I stopped walking and left.

We stopped at this mall on our way back to Canada for a quick break and to get something to eat. It's a small mall but has enough there to kill some time. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Wednesday night and the mall was pretty empty which made us kinda wonder why.
Its right off Interstate 81 and easy to find.
We'd stop here again if we were passing through the area.

Whitewater raft trips ranging from family fun to high adventure. ARO has been providing whitewater adventures for 34 years. We have trips on the Black River in Watertown and the Hudson River in the Adirondacks.
What a great day with ARO rafting the Black River! class 3 & 4 Rapids, with knowledgable, fun guides. Safety was stressed at all times but what a trip!! Then it all ends with a great chicken bar-b- cue dinner. Well worth the price!

We are a Real-life fully immersive escape room game that is a physical adventure game in which people are locked in a room with other participants and they try to escape in 1 hour.
Did the bank heist! Didn't make it out.. it was still a blast! This is our second time coming and it's waaaaay better than the escape rooms at the mall! Much better rooms, bigger challenge, and requires more interaction. Great date night with my husband and friends! Local business too! The owner is so personable and accommodating. Make a reservation today! You won't regret it!
