Watch the raw fury of sharks feeding from the safety of our observation decks by joining a guided tour of the park with a marine scientist, or relax with never ending ocean views at Ocean Park Cafe. We are famous for our fine quality coffee, delicious cake and fresh seafood meals!
Great knowledgeable staff, fabulous attraction close to Denham, amazing views, so nice to see someone doing tourism well. Great work guys, we thoroughly enjoyed as a family. Matt James the local ranger recommended it to us and what a great one it was

One can drive into the park with a suitable 4WD on once own, but I think it's better to book day trip with an operator and guide. The guides know a lot about plants and take you to interesting places.

Would have lived there for the whole of my life. 9 hour drive is crazy but the return of time investment is splendid.

If you are staying in the Denham, or Monkey Mia area, you must visit Eagle Bluff.
Situated 25kms South of Denham, there is a boardwalk (Metal) built along the cliff edge providing stunning views of the shallow water in the azure lagoon below. We saw a Manta Rays, several sharks and turtles from this vantage position. You also have views along the very attractive coastline.
For the best views of the marine life, take your binoculars.

Really worst turning off the road for a visit. It's the first place where you will see that beautiful turquoise water. There is a lot information boards about the stromatolites. A very interesting place to visit

Go to see the stromatolites, ancient life forms that first arose 3 1/2 billion years ago. There is a boardwalk which provides lovely views without disturbing these creatures.

Showcasing internationally inspired collections with today's interactive technology, the Shark Bay World Heritage Discovery Centre is a 'must see' on any travellers itinerary. Here you can discover the 'real' Shark Bay, full of natural wonders, world heritage, adventure and historic treasures of Dutch, English and French explorers from as early as 1616. The Centre celebrates Shark Bay's bio-diversity of eco-systems and explores the area's World Heritage listing, natural landscape, bays, Islands, lagoons, marine and terrestrial landforms and animals. Shark Bay is one of only 16 sites worldwide that satisfy all four criteria for World Heritage listing, boasts 10% of the world dugong population, and is home to dolphins, whales, manta rays, turtles, sharks, fish species and rare marsupials. The Centre utilises artefacts, specimens, models, Photo Galleries, illustrations, dioramas and electronic media to introduce visitors to all the major features of Shark Bay, Indigenous and European culture, maritime and pastoral history, the flora and fauna of the region and much more. Exhibits include some of the very interesting and colourful stories of the residents of Shark Bay; interviews with scientists and DPAW officers; a timeline dating back from 1616 to the present, displaying an old map that Captain Dirk Hartog and William Dampier illustrated while on voyage around our bays; and artefacts from the Zuytdorp ship wreck lost in 1712. The centre is arranged in three galleries: Living Place, Mapping Place and Experiencing Place . The displays take you on a most amazing journey around Shark Bay and across time, in company and conversation with those who have been part of this extraordinary place.
We spent a couple of hours at the Centre whilst staying at Denham, and were pleasantky surprised by the quality of the exhibits. Staff were polite, and it is a nice place to meander through -the lighting and colour schemes are very appropriate.Hi Brad, thank you for taking the time to complete a review of our centre. We are very proud of our building and exhibits and we're really happy to read that you appreciated our efforts to provide our visitors with a quality experience.

We stopped here after being at monkey mia. It was soo peaceful compared to the busyness of money Mia beach. It is nice for relaxing, dip in the water, walk or paddle boards.
