Each district in Bora Bora has its own legends tied to different “Marae” and sacred stones and you will thus be touring from districts to legends...The Ofa’i Honu in the Bay of Povai, the Marae Vaiotaha in Tiipoto, the Marae Hau Puni in the Faanui Valley, the small Pe’a cave in Anau and the sunset on Matira Beach.For a complete island tour, we will make a stop at a strategic viewpoint arranged by the U.S forces during WW II, with two guns now remaining out of the eight originally at the ready and one bunker left of the 300 which then faced the island’s only entrance channel known as the “Teavarua” Pass.We will also meet the islanders, farmers and “mamas” who make pareos using typical patterns and colors of our “fenua”.
