Have you gone to your local garden supply store and were shocked by the sticker price of some of the objects. Now you can go to the source - Harpers has it all and if you want it painted they do that too. Harpers it your most likely source for garden trinkets in VA and the prices are unbelievable. I willing to say if they don't have the statue you want they will make it.

We had a great time at the museum! My triplet grandchildren are 7. We were visiting Massanutten Resort and decided to take the drive. I was a bit concerned about the area after what I had seen on the television and the racial tensions that are well documented.....BUT what a lovely section of the city we experienced. The people we encountered were very friendly, warm and inviting. The hands on activities were awesome! The kids were able to touch EVERYTHING! When you are 7 and curious, what a treat!!

The Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center shares and celebrates the historical and spiritual legacies of Brethren and Mennonites in the Shenandoah Valley. These two faith traditions emphasize peace and non-violence, the priority of spiritual over material values, disaster relief and voluntary service, care for neighbors, stewardship of the land, and the role of the faith community in discernment and practice. At the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center, visitors and volunteers alike engage with these values and faith traditions through stories, artifacts, historic buildings, and experiential learning opportunities. The 24-acre campus of the Heritage Center features historic buildings from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, interpretive displays, and stunning panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley--a hidden gem that is not to be missed!
An interesting site that offers delightful, personal tours and an introduction the Brethren and Mennonite traditions. My guide, J. D. Glick, is a retired Brethren pastor and gave me a wonderful, insightful tour of the log cabins, blacksmith shop, cobbler's shop, combination one room schoolhouse and church, and larger 19th century bishop's home. I planned on about an hour visit, but was there for over two hours. Highly recommended.

My whole family enjoyed our time there looking at the beautiful flowers, the different fish in the pond, & watching the ducks and turtles swim. We enjoyed the trails and listening to the birds. Great place to get close to nature.

We are a beef cattle farm that enjoys sharing the farm way of life with others. Our agri-tourism activities include a corn maze in the fall, greenhouses and fairy gardens in the spring, butterflies, 60 ft. underground slides, cow trains, historic carousel, country store and much, much more! We can keep kids of all ages busy for a full afternoon. Looking for a different meeting place? Consider our country tea parties held throughout the year. We do birthday parties, take rides to the pumpkin patch in season, offer field trips to schools and offer special activities for seniors as well. Most of our activities are handicap accessible.
I am a 30s something male, and this place was such a fun time! You can watch the pig races, go pick a pumpkin, or even go through the corn maze (which we got stuck in, it was hilarious). Definitely dollar for dollar the best spot to go.

There is a short film and brochures of every kind on Harrisonburg and the surrounding area and beyond. We were in town on a Christmas trip and spoke with Carole on our visit and have to say that she is as good as anyone we have encountered in our many years of travelling and the visitor's center is lucky to have her. We enjoyed her humor, genuineness, knowledge and local insight she passed along during our nice long visit.
