Ramsgate is a seaside town in the district of Thanet in east Kent, England. It was one of the great English seaside towns of the 19th century. In 2001 it had a population of around 40,000. Ramsgate’s main attraction is its coastline, and its main industries are tourism and fishing. The town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast, and the Port of Ramsgate has provided cross-channel ferries for many years.

Augustus Pugin is regarded as one of Britain’s most influential architects and designers. The Grange was his family home. It has now been restored by the Landmark Trust and can be rented for holidays and short breaks for up to 8 people.
Family of 7 stayed here in August 2020. Very clean when we arrived. Great quality restoraiton and it is an enchanting experience to be in a house with such history. All the rooms were decorated to a very authentic, high quality standard. The location is great - just outside the property there are some steps down to a beach (lesser known than the main sands and consequently not very busy at all). Sea views from 3 out of 4 bedrooms. The garden is huge and probably could do with some TLC as it was not in a good condition, but deck chairs were provided so that we could sit outside (a garden table/picnic table is the only thing we thought should have been added). House sleeps 8 and there are 4 toilets, 2 showers and 1 bath in total. 2 toilets and a shower room downstairs, 1 bathroom on the 1st floor with the bedrooms and 1 bathroom half way to the tower with a bath and a toilet. The bathrooms (especially the downstairs one) were the only rooms in the house we feel that did not have Pugin's charm in them (maybe could have featured some replicas of his tiles?). Also 2 out of 4 toilets are slighlty novelty (they are wooden benches with holes in them like in the olden days). This was funny but they smelt a bit funny and were not that comfortable to sit on. The beds were very comfortable although it was very hot with the heavy duvet they provided in summer. The kitchen, living room, breakfast room and dining room were all functional and practical. The dining room was probably the most impressive room and it was amaxing eating an evening meal here. The chapel was also very curious although we didn't spend much time here

This was perfect, the kids loved it, and so did the parents. What a wonderful collection of stuff, a proper trip down memory lane and great fun.

Lovely place to go for a walk in the summer, easy to park for a small fee, good paths with views out to sea, lots of birds out there too. Got to see and walk past the ponies grazing today.

Lovely little micropub, very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Atmosphere is warm, bubbly, and everyone very welcoming and friendly. Love the fact you choose your drink off of the chalkboard, loved you can have samples of each ale (on the off chance you don't like it), and especially loved the fact you can opt for a takeaway ale. Excellent place to come to for a mini date.

So excited for the newly refurbed garden and ‘beach’ and it didn’t disappoint! Grant is lovely, the atmosphere is perfect and their COVID response is admirable. As my first venture into a pub in months I felt safe and able to stay distanced and well sanitised! The new garden is perfect for sunny days with the children in tow, my 5 yr old son was happy for our whole visit. Looking forward to becoming a more regular customer!

Always try to catch the new releases here rather than at a soulless chain - love the Granville, quirky postwar building nestled into the chalk of the East Cliff in Ramsgate, two great digital screens, has the latest movies, cheap snacks in the foyer & great sound. A proper little gem of a place.

We booked the Pamper Day for two which included two hours in the spa, a light lunch, and a 55minute treatment. What a great time we had! Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist,(I think her name was Hannah - forgive me is it isn't!), who looked after us the moment we arrived. She provided us with towels, robes and slippers which were comfortable. We then had to decide from the delicious menu what we would like for our lunch. Hannah then showed us around the relaxation room which was beautiful - this is a room you can go to at any time. She then showed us to the spa facilities which included a variety of different areas - the hydrotherapy pool and the wet room were my favourite! Lunch was also really nice - the tuna pasta bake went down a treat! I then had a back massage and a facial and my friend had a full body massage - we both came out feeling so relaxed and loving life! Hannah said we could go in the relaxation room if we so wished which is what we did and we were provided with free tea & coffee. Although the package included set things to do, (spa, lunch & treatment) we didn't feel rushed or set to specific timings at all. All in all we had a superb time and will definitely be returning! Thank you!
