New Westminster is a historically important city in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada, and is a member municipality of the Greater Vancouver Regional District. It was founded by Major-General Richard Moody as the capital of the new-born Colony of British Columbia in 1858, and continued in that role until the Mainland and Island Colonies were merged in 1866, and was the Mainland's largest city from that year until it was passed in population by Vancouver during the first decade of the 20th Century.

Hidden Wonders is a speakeasy-style performance venue hidden behind a fake business facade in New Westminster's historic district and is the brainchild of two-time world champion of magic, Shawn Farquhar. The seventy-five-minute magic experience will feature effects created to impress Ellen, win the world championship and to fool Vegas’s Penn & Teller twice on their hit television show Fool Us.
My first experience at a magic show and what an amazing evening it proved to be! Sean is an extremely talented magician with a ready wit and entertaining raconteur. It is in an intimate setting of just 30 people which allows for lots of audience participation which we all enjoyed. His magic and sleight of hand are unbelievable, leaving everyone in awe and wonder. The audience included all age groups from teens to adults. I will definitely be recommending this show to all of my friends!

While most reviews are based on the park’s nature views and “walk ability”, I thought I would point out the sporting nature of the park. First though the positive reviews already posted about the park are spot on. As well though, you can see some excellent hockey games and indoor sporting events in the arena, and see lacrosse games on the field.

Board the M.V. Native, an authentic 100-passenger paddlewheeler, for a adventure on the mighty Fraser River! With live narration about the Fraser and its history, you'll encounter all the activity of a busy working river as well as the ever-present sights and sounds of wildlife such as seals, ospreys, great blue heron, eagles and with luck, salmon and sturgeon. The lush Coast Mountain Range provides a breathtaking backdrop of BC from a "River point of view." Between the lovely gardens and the action on the Fraser there’s I always something new to see. There is a board walk and many seating bays, benches to stop and watch the tugs, container ships and trains crossing the bridge. You can easily spend more than an hour just reading about the working Fraser on the placards along the walk.
