Horse riding lessons for all ages and ability, trekking over Bodmin moor and around the old mines of Caradon hill Lessons in Horse Care and Stable managment Have a cream Tea in the Farm Shop and tea rooms
I was looking for something to entertain my 4yr old grandson and he loves horses so I booked a tiny tots half hour for him. He absolutely loved it, he spent five minutes brushing the horse, then he got to sit on Sunny, his excited face said it all. I can’t believe that all it cost was £5, and the joy it brought was beyond any cost. Thank you so much for such a brilliant experience, we will definitely be back.

Artisan vineyard offering direct winery sales and tours. We are a small operation so please call in advance to check opening. Tours and tastings every Thursday - Saturday at 2pm Easter to end September other days by request. Takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Organised group tours available. Tours and tastings aim to teach you something and are much more than just a general guided tour. Hands on experience using tools of the trade to tend the vines and wine making process
A really informative tour; Charles is very knowledgeable and and obviously enjoys sharing his love of wine making. This is a small vineyard so every part of the process is hands on and all 15 of us were able to take part in that as well as learning to 'taste' the wines. A lovely setting; the 2+ hours passed very pleasantly.

A circular walk around the iconic landmarks at Minions, including The Hurlers stone circles, The Cheesewring and the engine houses of the Phoenix mines.
Stayed in North Cornwall October2020 for a week & just catching up with reviews. We visited the area of Minions twice taking in walks to The Hurlers/Cheesewring & the disused tin mines. We visited in October & had no trouble in parking. Not entirely sure if we did the circular walk or not, but we had great fun exploring the area.

Went here to see the falls whilst on holiday with our 3 children (aged 11, 11 and 10). Whilst they are not always enthusiastic walkers, they had a great time walking through this forest and we have some lovely photos of them in amongst the bluebells that were prolific! We also followed the river path and had great fun crossing on stepping stones and logs at various points and were very lucky to see some cows coming down to the river for a drink! Another fab photo opp. The cafe was fab! We had some lovely hot chocolates and whilst we didn't eat, the food that was being served to other customers looked amazing and would certainly try it out the next time! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilets on site.

The scenic Looe Valley Line links the bustling market town of Liskeard with the picturesque fishing port of Looe. The train journey is full of beautiful views out of the train window, as the wooded valley teaming with wildlife opens up to glorious estuary views as the river meets the sea. Looe itself is a much-loved seaside destination that’s full of character. It prides itself on its safe beaches for swimming and sunbathing, restaurants that specialise in fresh local ingredients, and a maze of narrow streets full of small independent shops to discover.

We visited here as a group ranging from 4 years old to over 70 and we all really enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly and welcoming right from the start and everywhere felt very safe with regards to covid-19, with social distancing in place, face masks, and everything being sanitised before and after use. We'd pre-booked our slot but had arrived about half an hour early due to the journey being easier than we'd thought, but that wasn't a problem and we were allowed in straight away. We were given hard hats and a welcome talk by the owner who was very nice and managed to get our 9 year old computer-obsessed son interested by relating what could be found in the caverns to Minecraft! When entering the caverns we had the place almost to ourselves to explore. There were lots of things on display on the first floor, then we descended the 60 steps to the main cavern, the best bit though was the underground lake that you could light up! After climbing back up and out and handing back our hats, we decided to explore the woodland fairy walk. At first it just looked like a small path around a patch of grass but we then took a turn into a fairy den and then up a path behind it and it turned into quite a long path to explore with hidden fairies, and dragons and even a little house to sit in! The path was narrow in places and there was a bit of an incline so I'd recommend good shoes! It was a lovely walk and really added something extra to the visit. After our walk we ate our picnic in a covered area as it had started to rain a little. It had definitely got busier but not at all over crowded. I'd definitely recommend a visit.
