If you don't know where to start, leave your car at 37.5702806, 24.3163551. Route number 6 it's a easiest one. It will take you to main beach. Perfect place for snorkeling. 3m from shore you can enjoy wildlife, unlike popular beaches where is only sand. If you climb to the ruins with columns, there is path down to even more remote beach. Ruins are nice, yes but don't forget your swimming suits and beach towels.

The path until there is wonderful, you get a little lost on those tiny Greek streets, you spotted a donkey and the landscape is breathtaking. It is a trip worth it and easy to make, even if you have kids. Just don't forget the sun cream because you will need it.

We spent a good half a day at this beach recently. It's a lovely place, very clean and well maintained and the beach bar is very tasteful. The bar area is actually huge with lots and lots of seating, nice decking and relaxing seats and the piped music was pretty pleasant and relaxing. Not overbearing. Sand was pretty soft. Not much to see snorkelling, as the beach is very wide and open, even among the slightly rocky areas to the side, there wasn't much going on worth seeing. Beach Loungers - we paid €14 for two. This was late September and we arrived after lunch. Loungers on the right hand side all had a call button for waitress service. Nice touch. Not my favourite beach on the island though, we preferred Gialiskari Beach as it felt more enclosed either side, with even softer sand and smaller bar area. Also backed by nice shade of trees to park the car under. All in all, Koundouraki is a lovely beach. Well worth a visit, but do also try the other beaches too.

What an amazing and charming spot! Nice chilled atmosphere and pleasant vibe as you spend the day on huge beanbags staring at the blue sea. Very pleasant staff and nice and simple menu with delicious cocktails. We went on the 2nd day on the island, ... and we actually made our way back there on the 3rd day because we did not thing anywhere else could trump the feeling of relaxation we got there. The waiter even remembered our order! You can access the sea directly from the bar :) a dream! You also have watersports downstairs if you feel like being adventurous! We did wakeboard and wakesurf - the staff was extremely caring and patient :) another big tick :)
