My name is Iwan and I born and grow up in Ketambe. Ketambe is discovered by my grandfather together with two other families, and still my whole family is living in Ketambe. When I was child my father teached me everything about the jungle, because he is one of the oldest rangers in Ketambe and he has a lot of experience about the jungle. I start as porter in 2006, I learned how to cook in jungle, practice and improve my english and learned everything about the flora and fauna of the jungle. I became guide in 2009 and worked till 2017 at all the guesthouses in Ketambe. In August 2017 I decided to become an independent guide. I work together with other experienced, local guides originally from Ketambe. We really care about the jungle, because it is important for us that animals and plants can live in their natural habitat.
