Having a mainly local day to where we were staying Wales we headed into the quaint town of Ruthin, we parked closed to the attraction (£3 all day parking, bargain). We were greeted by two lovely staff who explained about the Goal/Jail, the kids got a quiz, which meant that us adults could wander round with the very informative audio guide, lots of activities and hands on experience, we were not pressed for time and we enjoyed all the aspects of the jail (upstairs you are limited to how far you can go as the building is used as local council archives) though the glassed divider still gives you a great idea of how it would have been, the children 7 and 10 enjoyed the experience of the jail and would happily go back and visit again. A great attraction and reasonable priced entry fee.

A most interesting visit and tour of this old house with a whole host of historical facts and memorable arrtifacts. Amazing to see how the restoration had been done to tone in with the original structure

Was visiting Ruthin for a couple of days and this is a great place for a drink or ten. Really friendly staff and we were made to feel very welcome, even popped back the next day for a quick couple. Decent selection of music on the jukebox and very well priced drinks. No food offered at the moment but can always grab a bag of crisps.

The Collegiate and Parochial Church of St Peter is the Anglican parish church of Ruthin, an ancient market town which lies within the Vale of Clwyd in Denbighshire, north east Wales. It is a greater church of the diocese of St Asaph and a Grade I listed building.
I visited this one afternoon and then returned on Sunday morning for the early 'said' Mass. The people were very friendly and the Church is lovely. Well worth a stop to look at it and see the organ!

I treated my dear friend who was celebrating her 50th birthday to a spa day at Ruthin Castle. We were shown around the spa by two lovely girls and they couldn't do enough for us. We started at the gym first until we both were ready to use the sauna and steam room. The spa is attention to detail and there were plenty of fruit and a variety of hot and cold drinks to keep yourself hydrated. I spoiled my friend to a copper bath ritual which had a cocktail of beauty oils so make the skin rejuvenate..... felt so smooth afterwards. Because it was a special occasion they gave us a glass of Prosecco and strawberries to have in our bath, this made this even more special. After an hour in the bath we had our treatments( we both went for feet and head massage) it was so relaxing. After our treatments we both received a goody bag as an additional celebration. We both thanked the spa girls for making are day so special and my dear friend will treasure. I told my friend there was more to her celebrations we had afternoon tea at 15.15pm (selection of sandwiches and cakes) with tea or coffee. We both had complimentary glass of Prosecco with raspberries. The day was perfect and we both felt pampered and were treated like royalty. We would both go again, highly recommended.

It's great to see that a pub that was so significant in my seminal years has maintained it's unique qualities.
