I have been to the WWII museum in New Orleans a few times. It is great however, the Eldred WWII museum was a hidden gem, thanks to this website. I happened to google WWII museums near Buffalo, NY and found this one. It was amazing. So much detail and work has gone into every speck into that place. I thought the dioramas of Omaha Beach and the Battle of Kursk were amazing. They keep a great collection and the employees know everything about that museum as well as the history of Eldred as a munitions plant during the war! I work with Holocaust survivors and their portion of the museum was cornered off from those that may not wish to view the photos in there. It was tastefully done and very educational. The best thing is that they have so many cool things for kids. They didn't get bored or whine about not having anything to do. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic young man gave us a tour of this train depot museum, sharing lots of human interest stories. If you are interested in the 1800's , especially the civil war, segregation, lobo wolves - you will enjoy this museum. I wish I had bought one of the books on Kane at the giftshop as I forget some of the names and details of its very accomplished families and interesting history. A former slave whose name I forget, became a very successful entrepreneur and prominent in the community. Kane was never segregated by race, even when the train station waiting rooms were segregated by sex. I called for the hours, and even though the museum wasn't open on Tuesdays we were told to come and he would open to give us a tour.

Due to the Governor of Pennsylvania’s Dec. 10 COVID-19 order, Museum access is unavailable at this time. The Flagship Store is still open, but with capacity limited to 50 guests. We are committed to our patrons and employees’ health and safety. Therefore, if the store is at capacity, we will ask that you remain outside until we are permitted to allow safe entry. This measure, issued by the Governor’s office, will take effect Saturday, Dec. 12, and remain in place until 8 a.m. on Jan. 4. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these unprecedented times. HOME OF TWO AMERICAN ICONS - Zippo Lighters & Case Knives!
This place was on my bucket list. So after taking my son to his hockey game 2 hours from our house in Bradford. I said we are stopping at Zippo. He didn't seem to thrilled. But he seemed to enjoy it. Loved the Zippo American flag. Great gift shop. Was neat to learn the history. Friendly staff.

If your are close to route 6 this is a must see museum. Very informative about oil production and the fundamentals of how they pumped oil out of the ground. We had a great guide who was informative.

Can never go wrong with getting the 6 glass sampler. Great atmosphere and the wine is excellent for a local winery. So many flavors and tastes to choose from.

We would love to show you the whole process
The alcohol here is really excellent, and is comparable to very high end brands. We asked about the informal tour and got to hear all about how they make their rum, vodka, and gin from one of the owners. Lots of fun! We got to try most of their products and were very impressed with all of them— walked away with three bottles more than we planned on ????. Great staff and owners. Hope to be back!!
