My priority isn't only to prepare for you a nice stay in Norway, but create an exceptional holiday, far more personal experience than strict itinerary trips, offered by common travel agencies. All my trips are custom made, according to clients dreams and of course respecting their needs.

Mesna Activities & Accommodation Our Activities: We are specialized in Icelandic Horseback Riding. This means fast-paced tours of varied terrain - a great way to experience the Norwegian nature. Some of our customers say that we have Europe’s best riding area – a statement we totally agree with. We offer trips for both beginners and advanced riders and place great emphasis on finding a horse that fits your skills. In addition to riding, we can also offer dog sledding, ice bathing, snowtubes, archery, river kayaking, banqueting rooms and much more. Our Accommodation: Mesna Accommodation is located only a few hundred meters from the Riding centre. This is the perfect place to relax after a busy day! Please read more about Mesna Accommodation on it´s separate page here on Tripadvisor. Our Location: Mesna is surrounded by beautiful Norwegian wilderness. By car, it takes 25 minutes to get to Lillehammer (the Olympic City of 1994) and 15 minutes to Sjusjøen - Norway's mecca for winter sports. To get a better idea of our location, we would recommend you to look up our address, ”Sørmessenvegen 723 Mesnali”, in google maps.
A wonderful horse riding experience in the snow! Truly magical! We visited mesna.no over Christmas when it was a little cold and very snowy! Our family of 4 had all ridden before but were all beginners, only the children had ever trotted - we'd never gone past walking before - but we learned to trot and gallop (we did a lot of galloping) in the space of 2 hours of riding through the most beautiful countryside. Under expert guidance of Christoffer and Camilla and on very sensible Icelandic horses we spent two hours out in the snow, galloping along roads covered in powdery snow or walking in the deep snow through pine forests. What a way for us to learn to gallop for the first time. We had a great time and it was a magical experience that will stay with us for a very long time.

The Norwegian Forest Museum has a national responsibility for presenting the history of hunting, trapping, fishing, forestry and forest industry. With more than 110 000 visitors annually, the museum is one of the largest in all of Norway. Klevfos Industrial Museum at Adalsbruk and the Sorlistoa Museum in Osen, are owned by the same foundation running the Norwegian Forest Museum.
I have visited this museum twice, once in winter time, once in summer, I would say both are beautiful! I enjoyed the outdoor space in the woods a lot as well as indoor exhibition. The exhibition display is massive, very informative on Norwegian's fishing, hunting and forestry industries. Second time i took my 2 year old with me, I also saw 2 groups of young children doing forest school there, a great place to visit for this purpose too.

The Proysen Cottage and Cotter's Farm was Proysen's childhood home. The Proysen Cottage dates back to the 1860s, and has been restored in recent years. Cowshed and barn have been rebuilt in their original style, and appear today as they did when Alf Proysen was born on July 23rd 1914.

Folldal Gruver is a historical mining community in the mountainous heart of Norway. The heritage site consists of about 70 buildings, slag heaps, tips and equipment, dating from almost 250 years of mining history. Folldal gruver is included in the Directorate for Cultural Heritage’s programme for industrial heritage, and thus holds a special status in Norway's industrial history. Today, this history is told through museum exhibits, guided tours of the mine and historical trails. In the museum, there is also an exhibition focusing on the surrounding National Parks and their inhabitants. Accommodation in historical buidlings, a café and a little gift shop are part of the attraction. Folldal tourist information is also located here.

The Viking Ship is a modern multi-purpose hall with an interesting architecture. The form is based on the shape of the Viking ships, a functional and beautiful shape that is as appealing today as it was a thousand years ago. It was built for the Winter Olympics in 1994, and the Viking Ship is Norway's national arena for skating.
