This is no ordinary museum. For €5 per person, plus €5 for the optional guidebook, you have a chance to go inside the special home of a lady, Chryso, who preserves the life's work of her late husband and renowned archeologist, George Eliades. His eclectic collection of items, the house frozen in time and the 2nd/3rd century BC tomb and other artefacts in the garden make for a quirky and fascinating 4* visit. Add chatting to Chryso and you have a well-spent 5* hour or so...

Well, where to start, this museum is a magical place, absolutely stuffed full with interesting memorabilia, lace, artefacts and facts. This museum is such an intriguingly interesting place for you to be taken back in time to how life was for Cypriots many years ago! If you are lucky enough, you will meet the wonderful mukhtar Ηλίας, he has such incredible stories to tell and you will be enchanted by his recollection of how he collected all of the artefacts before opening his wonderful museum. Entrance is free but donations are very welcome!

The first thing to highlight is that the museum has moved to Geroskipou (in April 2017), about 3/4 miles away. Thanks to a previous reviewer for pointing this out. The collection of icons is well-presented, with captions in English, and the curator was welcoming and helpful. Whilst you're in Gerospikou, don't miss the 9th century Church in the square nearby.

An interesting Museum with exhibits well presented. Ancient pottery and glass most absorbing. A superb collection of axes, knives, spears and swords, some dating back to the flint and early bronze age periods. Interesting to note , from the labelling, where these artifacts were unearthed. Well worth a visit.
