Shangri-La Qingdao is 40-minute drive from the Qingdao International Airport and close to the financial and government district, seafront tourist attractions, and The MIXC, one of the largest shopping mall in China.
I stayed about 2 weeks with my family. All hotel staffs are polite and very kind. Guests can use English for many cases. Breakfast buffet is so so delicious!!! Worlds cuisines are also very good, however I really want to recommend Chinese foods. These tastes are special!! Some restaurant staff remembered us, and they asked to us about drinks in advance, “1杯咖啡,3杯茶,OK?”. We heard it at every morning, and we felt happy. The room is so comfortable. Calm feeling wallpaper, furnishings and lighting. I felt good on soft bed and towels. The toilet has been equipped with a bidet function. L’OCCITANE brand wash liquid and soap were so nice!! There are metro station, bus stop, huge shopping mall and many nice restaurants. I enjoyed convenient life. I would like to say “感谢了” to all staffs. とても親切に対応くださった、日本企業向け営業部のみなさま、滞在中はとてもお世話になりました。ありがとうございました。

The service during long holidays is unpredictable!. Suggested to do well planing & communicated with staff earlier before you arrive. Otherwise, you may getting a bad feeling instead, no exception even you are globalist member.

I originally booked 2 nights in this hotel, during the first night, I decided to check out a day early. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel, and now it is the last time. Since I stayed 3 years ago it has gone down hill in the terms of service, and in their room and the free WIFI. The service on the front desk was slow, and they made me feel unwelcome. The room was clean to a standard but not 4 star hotel standard. The WIFI this time was appalling, it was so slow, my emails even times out before I got connected, actually everything times out I couldn't do anything at all. Also I agree with the other reader the shower Gel and Shampoo have no labels so you have to work out which is which. , I was waiting for the lift and so was a member of staff when one lift came she actually stopped me from getting in the lift and told me to wait for the next, that was extremely rude. Tat is the sort of service the Wu Sheng Guan Hotel is providing now, a rude unhelpful service.

I loved it here! After seeing bizarre, colourful photos of the rooms in this hotel we took a chance on booking this instead of a more familiar 'brand' hotel and were so glad we did. This place has character galore. Every corner, every wall, every ceiling, every detail has been thought about. It is well-maintained and the ayis were very conscientious, keeping the rooms very clean and tidy (which is not always the case in Chinese hotels). I suspect that not many westerners stay here as the younger ayi we met was so excited that she asked if she could have a photo with our family (all through sign language of course). Breakfast was mostly Chinese food but was adequate - we have loved in China for some time so are used to different foods. For some the breakfast might not be to their taste. Plenty of local options for meals plus great walks along the seafront. The sculpture park was close by. We caught the bus into town using apple maps as our guide, all very simple. The only thing that could be improved would be the water pressure in the shower, although even that wasn't dire. I loved the quirkiness of the rooms and the lobby had interesting things to look at at every turn. A real treasure.

Stayed there to attend a large exhibition. At least 90 minutes from the city centre and some 20 minutes from the exhibition centre with huge traffic jams. Really nice rooms and reasonable breakfast. Unfortunately most of the restaurants were closed or not even rented out. Entire shopping mall really dead. So if you are looking at some entertainment, this is probably not the best place
