We had an amazing day with Arrow tours. We were large getting off the cruise but the new owner Toby drove us to the first stop off point. The tour of the set was excellent. The place is a well oiled machine from ticket office to bus ride etc. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the movies and all other aspects . The movie set was awesome and the gardens amazing . Even if you’re not a movie buff the experience and sheer brilliance of PJ et al is totally worth it . Having a drink ( free) at the Green Dragon ???? was fantastic.

We arranged the tour online and Wendy met as at our cruise boat dock, perfectly on schedule. It was delightful to spend a wonderful day touring the countryside and visiting Hobbiton. She took care of everything and all we did was show up. As an added bonus we stopped by a honey store for a sample and view of active bees. Wendy is great company and knows the area well. She provided insightful commentary and is very pleasant to be with. Look forward to a return visit.

I had a wonderful tour off the cruise with this wonderful guy, Pat! The trip was full of information, he'll be there to pick you up, our trip started with the drive to Rotorua and we had a wonderful time there and it is such a fascinating experience to witness Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal, HUGE KiwiFruit farm, and beautiful sceneries(falls, rivers, mountain) on our side trips(For Instagram lol)! The Living Maori Village experience is unforgettable, you get to sing and dance with them and witness the famous "Haka". The Maori people are just like all New Zealanders(Kiwis) and the most friendly and inviting people I have been around. You will appreciate going around with Pat, such an amazing guy I would say. Worth it!!!

I was greeted by Judy at the Tauranga Port she introduce us to Nora who was absolutely lovely and accommodating with where I and another couple wanted to go. I had originally booked the combo tour to Hobbiton and Rotorua but due to time constraints we elected Rotorua. On our way to Rotorua Nora made a few stops, the kiwi plantation and shop where we saw bees making honey. The highlight of our trip was a visit to the living Maori village Whakarewarewa. There we saw mud pools, geysers, kiwi birds and exhibition of Maori crafts. After a tour of the village we were entertained with a Maori concert steeped in tradition. On the way back to the cruise ship Nora showed us the city of Rotorua its spa and city of Tauranga. Nora possess a deep understanding of the Maori culture and the island. I had a wonderful day and would recommend this tour over the tours offered on the ships. Thanks Nora, your the best.
