Browne's Beach was our last stop on our beach day while visiting the island on a cruise. We rented a car and visited 8 different beaches on the island. We visited later in the day before returning to the cruise ship and it was not busy at all. There were some loungers to rent but we wanted to swim and set up our beach blanket instead. The water was calm, clear and great for swimming and snorkeling. We found a few turtles pretty quickly. There is also a shipwreck nearby but we didn't end up checking it out. This was our favorite beach for swimming and snorkeling during our visit. If you are planning a beach day and want to see video footage of this area check out our YouTube Channel Explorcation. Our Barbados Beach day includes footage from eight different beaches on the island.

The Chamberlain Bridge is right in the center of town and is the nicest area in Bridgetown. The whole area is great for selfies and photos. The arch and bridge are right next Constitution River, Independence Square, luxury boat harbor and across the street from the Parliament Buildings. It is also the pathway to get to Carlisle Bay for a beach break. Fun strolling area. BOTTOM LINE: One of my favorite areas of Bridgetown. Many shops and restaurants are in the area. Great for area for strolling and having a bite to eat or to have a drink. A must for a photo stop. MY RATING: 9/10.

Petrea Garden is 1 of Barbados's biggest and most prestigious outdoor garden attractions. Come experience a cool refreshing atmosphere as you walk through the garden and enjoy the many activities provided by our staff. One of our most enjoyable activities is Fish Feeding. The pond stretches throughout the landscape and is home to many type of Fish. A relaxing day in Nature is all you need.
Need a calm relaxing spot? This is the place for you, enjoy the beauty of the plants and the peaceful atmosphere. Make sure someone who knows how to find it takes you there because it's easy to miss.

Across Broad Street from the Parliament Buildings and bordered by High and Trafalgar streets, this triangular "square" (formerly called Trafalgar Square) marks the center of town. Its monument to Lord Horatio Nelson (although Nelson was in Barbados only briefly in 1777, when he was a 19-year-old navy lieutenant) predates Nelson's Column in London's Trafalgar Square by 36 years. Also here are a war memorial and a fountain that commemorates the advent of running water on Barbados in 1865.

I liked this the Port of Bridgetown, the shops inside were very good for souvenirs and there was also a post office which was good as we got to send a post card back to the UK very easily with the help from the nice lady working there.
