It seems like every time of year is "in season" in Lenox, a small Berkshire town that has been a popular retreat since the 19th century. In summer, picnic on the lawn at Tanglewood, the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer home. In fall, when foliage peaks, take to the hiking and biking paths of the Pleasant Valley Sanctuary to immerse yourself in the vibrant colors of the mountains. Winter visitors enjoy skiing at a number of resorts and cross-country trails, and in spring, hikers and golfers practice their pastimes in splendid settings. Rejuvenating treatments and pampering, at the well-known Cranwell Spa, are favored all year long.

Two decades ago in the village of Lenox, Massachusetts, Lynda Strauch, with her two young children, opened Concepts of Art. It was for her a business venture that combined two of her passions, art and Judaism. From a modest start, Concepts of Art/Lenox Judaica has grown to include several thousand Jewish ceremonial items, fine art, and jewelry, showcasing artists and products from Massachusetts to Jerusalem. Each item is personally chosen: from whimsical to elegant, from modestly priced to museum quality.

I have been shopping here for years. The staff is very polite and very knowledgeable. The kayak rental was smooth as silk. Eric drove the kayaks to the boat launch, set us up, and off we went! It was so easy. When we were finished, we called the shop and the kayaks were picked up from the boat launch. We didn’t have to wait. Also, there is a cafe inside the shop that serves great coffee and delicious sandwiches. Give it a try!

Pony rides are available for the young ones on property. We also offer guided trail rides through the beautiful Kennedy Park in Lenox Massachusetts. One of the best qualities about this park in there are no motorized vehicles allowed, so we can all enjoy the nature and our adventure. Our horses have been hand picked and professionally trained. The horses truly love their jobs as much as we do.
