Gorgeous beach whether it be sunny or windy! Kite surf for the husband with wind in all directions, beautiful beach and dunes which shelter. Parking pretty easy even in summer. Can't go wrong. Shallow in places ideal for the young ones and new kite surfers like me!

You lose yourself in the view of the water here as the water shimmers under a perfect summer's day... even if you were to walk further up the inlet where the water is out, there is something really special about being able to walk along the sands and enjoy the spectacular views on offer. When I arrived there today there were oodles of people wandering along the paths and waterways and enjoying the perfect day. It is an amazing place to visit.

Easy nature walk through the lovely southern mangroves and all the way to the Townsend Bluff if you are extra keen. The beach worth a visit by itself (you may even find some crabs). But the boardwalk over the creek is very picturesque. TIP: around 200 metres into walk you will come to area that is eaten away by erosion (signposted). You can either continue on track or walk around the beach to the mouth of creek. After you cross the bridge, if you turn left it will take you to fishing pontoon or you can turn right to walk to top of Townsend Bluff All in the walk only takes 5-10 minutes. DIRECTIONS:To get to this walk, you need to drive to the very end of the council owned caravan park until you arrive at circular carpark at end.
