Well worth the climb and the down hill is great. I did this ride on the return cycle from Lilydale to Warburton, total 90ks. Amazing scenery, I’d class this as an easy ride, the only step part is the climb to the Aqueduct section. Highly recommend to future cyclists...

We were driving to the summit of Mt Donna Bueng and stopped halfway up for the tree boardwalk , absolutely spectacular with all round views of the forest ,with some of the enormous trees and tree ferns . Fairly easy walking on the metal boardwalk , just wish I could have been able to identify some of the leviathans growing here in this temperate forest haven.

It was indeed a day trip from Cranbourne East for us and worth of all walking from main street as it was a packed day with cars. was blown away by those majestic trees and scenic view it provides 360 deg to naked eye. utter silence in that very place can devour your feelings the moment you step in to the middle of those giants. Peacefulness in one word

The Yarra Ranges National Park is a place of epic views, majestic rainforest scenery and fun-packed snowplay. Enjoy the panorama from Mount Donna Buang, or go deeper into the park on the Black Spur Drive, and wind through towering Mountain Ash forests to Lake Mountain. The Yarra Ranges spans an extensive, mountainous area of cool temperate forest around the three towns of Marysville, Healesville and Warburton. This national park is home to the world's tallest flowering tree, the Mountain Ash. Walk the Rainforest Gallery and see the Mountain Ash from a different perspective. The Yarra Ranges boasts some stunning lookouts, one of the best being Mount Donna Buang. In the winter, Mount Donna Buang is Melbourne's closest winter playground.
My father and I drove the Black Spur mountain drive earlier today through this beautiful National Park and I found it amazing to be able to say to him... "I have been here a few times before now." I recognised picnic areas and remembered times where I had stopped with groups of people before. It's interesting when you are younger how you sometimes don't appreciate what you are seeing... although I do recall being mesmerised by the tall trees every other time. But this time, I appreciated everything...the beautiful ferns, the gorgeous trees... the winding, sun-dappled road. This is a beautiful part of Victoria... whether you stop for a walk through the area, or simply drive through... you can't help but appreciate the beauty around you.

Short drive from Warburton to the car park, which is easy to find as well signed. The trail is a 3.2 km return walk to the falls. Sturdy footwear & a moderate level of fitness required as some slightly steep sections & exposed tree roots & rocks. Very peaceful walk & the falls are lovely especially after rain. Closest public toilets are in town.
