I've seen a few waterfalls in my life but this one was one of the most spectacular. Even compared to Niagara, Wailua, Kauai, and the mighty Buskill, this one was best. It may have to do with the fact that you have to hike through the Amazon to get there and then you find yourself in a clearing with an amazing view.

The beautiful place in the forest.Tena is a very beautiful city, because it has many forests, and the people are very friendly. The tours that occur in the city for tourists are very complete. You can observe wild animals, also the landscapes in Tena are beautiful, the rivers are warm and clear. Last year my family and I visited this city and fell in love with the kindness of the people and the beautiful landscapes. If you visit Ecuador, I recommend you visit the city of Tena, if you want to relax and practice different types of sports in nature, this is the city you need.

Beautiful cave system, the second largest in Ecuador, run by local Quechua community. The entrance fee is only 5,5 USD and it's totally worth it. Beware that actual entrance is not through the main complex run by municipality (with pools, toboggans, restaurants etc) but 200m further towards Quito, through the community. Be ready to get wet, so bring the clothes and the shoes/boots (although you can rent it there for small fee). The tour is guided by the local guide. The cave is quite wide and it has only a couple of meters of narrow passage, but not too narrow. There are a couple of small waterfalls and pools inside, so you can take a bath. :) We saw a lot of animals (which surprised me): bats, spiders, fish, shrimps and one very strange animal that resembles a huge spider, but is actually something like scorpion without the tail. The tour lasted around 45-60 min and after that we were invated to drink wayusa, energetic drink made from the local tree with the same name. We were told about local customs and traditions and in the end we bought some nice handcrafts and natural medicine to support the local economy. It was great experience that I would like to repeat and I sincerely recommend it to everyone.
