Nice walk from city centre (20min) and you would have spectacular view on whole the city and surrounding.

Beautiful mountain resort so close to Maribor, perfect for both winter and summer vacation. Electric gondola makes the trip to the top significantly faster, giving a marvelous opportunity to shoot a Maribor panorama.

It's a lovely hill with a chapel on it. Around the hill, there is a way along the stream, nice for hiking or cycling. There are tennis and soccer facilities around too.

In the botanical garden - you will find it below the green slopes of Pohorje - visitors are surrounded by domestic and foreign flora. Admire them during a walk through the garden or with the help of a guided tour (bookings should be made in advance) get acquainted with happenings in the field of botany here in Slovenia as well as new happenings around the world.
Went with my grandmother this week. The place is very pretty and looks well maintained. Plenty of benches to sit down, too.

Not that we found Maribor riotous but the city park is perfect to just get away from it all. A well kept clean spacious park with ample seating to just sit back relax and watch the world go by
