Small botanical garden with many plants, little streams and fish. Very nice place for a walk and a rest and beautiful pictures

Such a beautiful place. Serene, green and lush with plenty of places to sit down in the shade as you contemplate the gorgeous palm trees and peacocks. Don’t miss the Imperial Palm Tree dedicated your Austrian Empress ‘Sissi’ who came to visit in the 19th century.

Great beach to get away from it all as you can always find a quiet spot. The only problem can be the wind but if you find a sheltered spot you'll be fine. The further you walk the quieter but there are no facilities and at the far end you will find the odd nudist. It takes about 40 mins to walk from Arenales along the promenade then down the walkway and on to the beach. The no3 bus will take you part of the way

If arriving by train turn left as you exit until you enter the grove on your left, do not cross the main road even though there are more palm trees ( we got disorientated). The park has the elegant palms and a number of water features to break up the walk and bring interest before reaching the main town and tourist information. Enough seating spaces to be able to enjoy the peace.

Rio Safari Elche is an animal park at Santa Pola-Elche road, in Costa Blanca. It is located in an oasis with more than 4000 palm trees. A good place for families and children. Visitors can enjoy a nice journey and relax, meeting more than one hundred animal species. Enjoy Splash Park during summer, the new water park of Rio Safari Elche with pools, many toboggans, water falls, children playground, baby area and restaurant. Swimming with sea lions, encounters with lemurs, chimpanzees and orangutans; shows and multi-adventure area are other activities people can enjoy at Rio Safari Elche.
A very interesting day out, fun filled with exciting animals at every turn. We took our 8 year old Grandson for a day out while on holiday in Salinas and this is what he chose. He loved it! So many different animal species to see, all very well looked after and healthy looking. Plenty of fascinating information on each enclosure in several languages for those who don't speak Spanish. Lots of stops throughout the Safari park for a bite to eat, a cool drink or just a little rest (as a disabled lady with walking sticks this was perfect for me) We spent most of the day at the park and our Grandson wasn't bored or fed up once! The sea lion performance was a favourite as was the giraffe which we were able to feed. Very reasonable entry fee with a train ride around the park thrown in with the price. Thoroughly enjoyed our day out. X
