A small museum but (for the stranger) a fascinating and accessible introduction to the history of Magdeburg. The 10-minute animation of 1,100 years of city history is well executed and records the three times the city has burned down (the last time courtesy of us). Then there is the story of Otto the Great and his English Saxon wife Edith (a forgotten figure in English history books) whose teeth were exhumed and taken to Bristol Dental School for examination. All captivating stuff.
