The Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum (formerly the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum) in the historic Gaches Mansion, located in the beautiful waterfront town of La Conner, features exhibits of quilts and fiber arts throughout the year. With a new exhibit opening on one of the three floors each month, exhibits range from traditional quilts from around the globe to contemporary fiber art. The mission of the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum is to present exhibitions and educational programs in all fiber arts that enrich and inspire, honor cultural traditions, and celebrate the creative spirit.
What a beautiful museum housed in an historic Victorian house. A most enjoyable museum, a large gift shop and beautiful environment. I was happy to stumble onto the annual fiber arts sale. Quilts, yarns, fabrics and various tools for sale. I scored. Pleasant experience.

A working artists studio right in downtown La Conner. Scott Bouwens is a lampwork glass artist (mini works of art) and Monica Bouwens designs their jewelry. Scott's torch is right there in the studio and he will often demo if requested. Scott has also invented and sells many unique tools for glass artists. Bearfoot Art Glass Studio also offers beads for sale and beaded jewelry repair.

An eclectic mix of artistic mediums presented to you daily by our own local artists! Our business started in 2012 in the SouthWest corner of the Pier 7 building and our name was That's Knot All an Artists' Co-op. February 2016 we were lucky to have an opportunity to move into the front of the same building and with that change we are also changing our name, this takes time so please also look for "La Conner Artists' Gallery A Cooperative Spirit". Same building same great artists!

John Wayne returns to the Pacific Northwest! The Norwester (John Wayne's first yacht) is a piece of our own history anchored in beautiful La Conner, Washington. The 76-foot yacht has been renovated and restored as a museum, showcasing items owned by "the Duke" as well an assortment of antiques and actual props used in his movies. Visit the Norwester and experience this "live" time capsule!

My family has been using the bulk detergent from Handmade La Conner for nearly a year now, and likely will not go back to regular commercial products. First, the products are manufactured in the back of the store using safe natural ingredients, and then packaged in bulk. Second, even a small bag of the detergent goes a long way; for our high-efficiency front-loading washer, we use about 1/2 tablespoon of the powdered detergent per load. While we can order the products online, since we happened to be in town for a long weekend, we decided to stop in and see where the products are made. In addition to cleaning products, there are also a wide variety of beauty products and other organic, natural goods, from lip moisturizer to soap to re-usable shopping bags to t-shirts to pens and pencils. There's something for everybody here.

After several trips to LaConnor, I finally searched out its museums and what a great surprise. This museum high on a hill. Has amazing vistas, beautiful displays, a sweet gift store and an amazing, helpful staff. It was a most enjoyable experience. I was also gifted with suggestions as to other nearby towns to visit.
