We had a lovely time at the gallery. My mum has visited previously and insisted I go back with her. Jenny was really friendly and welcoming. The gallery was a feast for the eyes and we spent well over an hour looking at everything. I could have happily bought many of the pieces. Would certainly recommend visiting if you're interested in any form of art and New Zealand culture.

We had an 18 month old we needed to entertain on a rainy day during a visit to Hamilton. A lot of the activities are for older children but the kids area kept him entertained for hours.

Something Classic for the Whole Family! A classic car museum with something to cater for every member of the family. Come and have a look at the cars of yesteryear which are sure to bring back memories. We have over 60 cars on display and an extensive collection of petrol memorabilia - signs, tins, petrol pumps, pedal cars and vintage pin ball machines. Plenty of free parking onsite. We have a 1950's diner in the building too! The Jukebox Diner, serving American classics, modern fare, child friendly options and of course great coffee!
Drove past the Classic Car Museum for years thinking “we must go in”. Finally took kids during school holidays and what a lovely surprise it was. Beautifully presented and very clean. Full of history and interesting pieces even for the non-car enthusiast. 5 Kids aged 4-11 and all really enjoyed the experience. Diner had a lovely variety of a la-carte and cabinet meals. Good selection and prices for kids food. Play area for little ones and a cool car for the older kids to sit and play in. Well done Classics Museum.

The Museum is open to the public at no charge during store opening hours - unless the room is in use for another purpose. Please call us if you are making a special trip to visit the museum.

Open every day from 10am - 5pm. The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum is a unique art-in-nature experience with more than 100 sculptures along the 2km long nature trail. The park is set in a former quarry that has been transformed into a 17.5 hectare arboretum with more than 20,000 trees. We provide families with a range of ideas to make the most of their visit. This art-in-nature experience aims to inspire imaginations, nourish inquisitive minds, and provide for creative learning in an accessible wilderness environment.
We visited on our second visit to Hamilton as it fell on a Sunday. The park and arboretum is open on Sundays and bank holidays and features 100 pieces of very varying sculpture in terms of size and materials and placed among the beautifully set out arboreal pathways (more than 20,000 trees and shrubs) and around small ponds and lakes in a disused quarry. This is a family owned collection and is in my view an act of generosity on their part to the public and a real privilege to visit. There is a wealth of bird life to be seen and heard throughout the walk and the views of the surrounding countryside are lovely. In case you hadn't realised I absolutely loved it.

There is a new exhibition every month in the art gallery, many are interesting and all the art is for sale. The shop has a very diverse collection of mainly Waikato and all New Zealand made art.
