Our family is visiting the area from Las Vegas and we are a bunch of true crime lovers so we just had to go to the Lizzie Borden house! The tour exceeded our expectations! Our tour guide, Sue, was so awesome! You could tell she truly enjoyed what she does! She had such a cool enthusiasm and all of the small details made the tour truly special! She gave a great narration and then let us tour the rooms after each section. We are definitely going to come again for the nighttime tour to hear all of her paranormal stories!! Definitely worth the visit! Hope they open Maplecroft by the next time we return! Thank you, Sue!!

What a great venue for watching local and regional musicians! We had so much fun and there really is not a bad seat in the house!

The beautiful old home it is housed in is a real gem. Loved all the furnishings and paintings and learning the history of Fall River. The tour was most informative and our guide such a nice lady. The red dining room built in the round was quite interesting and was intrigued by the Lizzie Borden exhibit. Neat little gift shop with a friendly staff.

Home to five National Historic Landmarks and Official Veteran Memorials on both state and national levels, Battleship Cove has been providing the preservation of both the military heritage of the New England region and that of the United States since 1965. A non-profit memorial and museum located in Fall River, Massachusetts, veterans, families, schools, Scouts, and interested visitors from around the world have walked the decks of these historic vessels and viewed the legendary aircraft on display. Day visits, overnight camping experiences, and special events allow the public to immerse themselves in the exploration of the historic entities on exhibit and see for themselves the sacrifices made by both the military personnel who served on these amazing ships and aircraft and those who supported their constructio See battleship USS Massachusetts BB59, destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr DD850, submarine USS Lionfish SS298, PT Boats 617 and 796, and German missile corvette Hiddensee
Battleship Cove is a great destination for a day trip here in the Northeast. It have the USS Massachusetts battleship there as well as several other navy vessels including a WW 2 submarine and several world war two patrol craft. it is a wonderful place to go if you have an interest in military history, the battleship is open for self guided tours and they also will take groups for a group discount. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes military history

I was able to spend the night at Maplecroft due to a very generous invitation from the owner, and had an absolutely amazing experience. While most people interested in Lizzie Borden focus on the events of August 4th, 1892, once the trial and acquittal pass, the rest of the story of her life is a kind of footnote or coda. Maplecroft allows the rest of Lizzie's (or Lizbeth, as she preferred to be called in her post-trial life) story to be told. Her generosity, her love of children, her support for those around her really don't get to be center stage at the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast in the same way, and having this other half of her story told is refreshing and new. The house itself is simply breathtaking and has been lovingly restored through the efforts of the past two owners. Many fixtures and elements of the home are original to Lizzie's time, and the whole experience of being in there is one of joy and awe. I highly recommend going through the Second Street home (the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast) first, then checking out Maplecroft. The difference in atmosphere is astounding. The property manager, Ryan Woods, is welcoming and knowledgeable. It is clear that many hands went into restoring this home to get it ready to open to the public, and the love and care that has gone into it makes it a truly wonderful space to experience. I highly recommend it!

Is it a maritime-heritage museum? A mechanical-engineering museum? An art-history museum? A Titanic museum? A Steampunk lover’s dream? A paean to the Floating Palaces of the Gilded Age? A good place for seniors and kids with extra energy?Yes; seven times yes. Even after going there and going back, I’m not sure how to characterize this place. But I like it a lot, and if you like things or people, I’m guessing you will, too. It’s just a few blocks from the entrance to Battleship Cove, and right off 195 between 24 and 79. Definitely worth a look! (And a terrific setting for events; both parties I attended there were hits.)
