The southern Thailand town of Krabi serves as base camp for exploring the province of the same name, a lush region of jungles, limestone cliffs and idyllic isles floating just offshore in the Andaman Sea. Buddhist shrines still used by local monks are tucked into the chambers of the town's top attraction, Tiger Cave. The riverside pier links travelers with ferries and longboats to the best scuba diving, rock climbing and white sand beaches on the coast.

Visited on Sunday January 2019 from long muang beach (we stayed at sofitel krabi). WHAT WE DID: went via private long tail boat to Koh pak Bia, La ding island and then Hong island itself (2500 bhat and extra 200 addes as we asked for food which helped us!) we opted for this as it gave us flexibility for which order we wanted to go to the islands and I wanted to be at hing island when there were few people. we left at 10am - 40 mins to pak bia- beautiful we were one if the first ones there which was great. La ding was then packed busy so we skipped it ! got to hong island at 12:30. had lunch then went to the lagoon and then to hong island itself. At 2:45-3pm most people had left and the place was a lot quieter so fantastic to enjoy! the water was turquoise, pretty clear but I wouldn't say snorkel worthy. pure white sand beach. nature trail to enjoy too TIPS: -go private boat if you want to enjoy it for peace and quiet and go either first thing in the morning or aim to be there around 2-4pm -take lunch and drinks. there is a restaurant though -do the nature trail! just a lovely peaceful walk on forest path. we didn't have time to go all the way so did a little bit then came back -RELAX! Pros: beautiful stunning beach and lagoon, Cons: nothing.

On a sunrise Phi Phi Island tour with simba Sea Trips, this was our first stop for a wander, snorkel and light breakfast Truly idealic and a great start to the day. The coral has lost a lot of colou, but the fish & clams make up for that. A great experience.

A beautiful beach on a hot sunny day, spent hours swimming and sunbathing, the fish in the sea are beautiful and everyone was having a wonderful time

Very Instagrammable place, much more quiet than the main land, one of the best island stops of the island tour. They also have drinks and (local) toilets.

A small beach and beautiful one , was part of our four island tour. a bit crowdy as all the boats come at the same time.

This was a fantastic little island which offered multiple sites for taking stunning island photos. We stayed here for 1 hour and felt we needed more time here despite it being a small island. Tourists got in the way of some of our shots but during Covid times the size of the visitors was much less and we took advantage of the sparse crowds. I would recommend this island for anyone interested in unparalleled and unsurpassed natural beauty. What and incredible place this is.

Gorgeous clear, clean water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Small, calm private beach in the heart of the Chicken Island offered breathtaking views. I highly recommend this island over the other ones, we took a long tail boat hopping on the 4 islands!

This is one fascinating place. Do NOT go off on your own to take pics of the red kites (bird variety) like I did because, like me, you WILL get lost! A proverbial warren on water.
