A lovely friendly hotel near to the town centre. Staff are all helpful and happy to oblige helping you with anything. I don't yet speak Portuguese but everyone spoke enough English to understand me. The breakfast is plentiful with cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, juices and water, cereals, various breads, cakes, jams and spreads, a coffee machine which also dispenses hot water for the great choice of teas. Also a choice of semi skimmed, rice, oat or lactose free milks. As soon as someone has finished breakfast, dishes are cleared and tables cleaned. The hotel itself is spotless and the rooms smell clean every time you walk in. Although I hung towels up for teuse, I am sure they wete changed every day and bedding every other day. They supply toiletries and there is a hairdryer, coffee machine and bottles of water. Rooms have aircon/heating and tv. I had a balcony room overlooking the pool and could also see into Tondela's football ground. If I had any negatives it would be the hotel needs some TLC but maybe when the world us back to normal, this may be attended to. The SJ will be my first choice next time I stay in Tondela

Casa do Cabeco is a Bed & Breakfast at the feet of Cabeco do Neve in the Caramulo Mountain range in Central North Portugal. Set amidst a flat top hill or Cabeço and surrounded by a lovely mature tree garden with beautiful granite walls, the views from the house are splendid. The guest can choose between four rooms, three doubles and a single room, all with private bathrooms. There is a charming shared lounge for all the guest to enjoy and relax with a large flat screen TV and DVD player, many books and lots of board games. The tree garden around the house offers multiple levels which are limited by old granite walls creating dozens of hide ways and secret seating spaces to simply just contemplate nature, relax and unwind or read a good book. We have an outside terraced area where guests can have their breakfast and enjoy the sunshine and views. We offer a delicious continental breakfast included in the price. We offer 3 course dinners. There is central heating and free wi-fi.
We had the best experience staying with Martha and Ickel! These two English speakers are the perfect hosts with the perfect Casa for staying for a few nights. Breakfast was a delight as only two chefs can create. Homemade jams made from local ingredients are the perfect way to start your day. Don't skip this place!

This magnificent Quinta (farmhouse) was built by an Englishman in the late 1800s. The house is built of fine granite, partly into a terrace. The high ceilings on the ground floor at over 4 meters keep the house cool even on the hottest of days. The original features have been retained in a beautifully authentic restoration. The 3 suites located in the top of the house incorporate the original pine beams, giving a true "wow" factor. We have our own working winery and take wine tours to the Dao and Douro wine regions.
I picked the Quinta dos 3 rios to stay with close family and friends during a family celebration in Parada de Gonta. We stayed 3 days in late july. Hugh and Jane prooved to be exaclty what we expected - welcoming, very friendly and always ready to make us feel happy and comfortable. The place is amazing, always in close contact to the nature. Vineyard is beautiful and the rooms are incredible. For me the space is impressive, large rooms, classic style, everything in wood. The food was very very good, delicious! and the "house" wine is an excelent extra! We loved the experience and the group is planning to return!

The best side of Quintas de Sirlyn is by far the possibility of a friendly exchange with the owner couple. If you like wine, then you will be happy to know they produce locally and you will learn a lot about Dão wines, besides sampling their wines Augusto and Rosário are a charming couple and I regret only not having enough time to know them better. The premisses are good and very clean without being luxurious. You will have all the comfort you need. Breakfast is good enough.

Liguei a marcar o restaurante mas por algum motivo esqueceram se reserva. No entanto prontamente me arranjaram outra mesa. A comida é deliciosa e o preço muito acessível. Estava cheio mas o atendimento foi bom
