Positives - Easily accessible bus stop right out front - ID and card details to check in so no annoying bond held - EXCEPTIONAL customer service!! The lady at check in was so warm and welcoming and made me feel like a valued guest which is so refreshing as having stayed in many budget price point accommodations over the years great customer service is definitely not the norm so I thank them greatly for that. - Excellent price point paid $85 for the night - Great standard of cleaning - Quiet - Microwave available in common area Negatives - The plastic stool was very short and uncomfortable. - No tea bags or anything in the room, says all removed due to COVID prevention but doesn’t really make sense considering everything e.g. soap bars, bed sheets, are all going to be handled and put in the room so how individually packaged coffee/tea is higher risk I don’t understand.

I found the accommodation perfect. The room was large and comfortable and kept scrupulously clean. It is within easy walking distance from Strathfield Private Hospital and Strathfield station and shopping centre. There is 24 hour access, the proprietor Grace could not be more helpful. Note that if travelling by car it is worth booking a car space as parking on the street is limited. When you want the accommodation to be clean, comfortable and non-problematic this is the ideal choice.

Darcys is centrally located in a beautiful heritage tree-lined street, 14 km by road or 15 mins by train from Sydney CBD. We are a short stroll to either Homebush or Strathfield town centres. Strathfield is a major transport hub for both trains and buses where connections can be made for both suburban and country link destinations. Darcys is close to local restaurants, cafes and shopping outlets.
I highly recommend Darcy's if you are visiting the city or Olympic Park. 5 minute easy walk to Homebush Station, or 10 minutes to Strathfield Station (which has more regular trains to the city). The hotel is simply a beautiful place. Our room was huge with comfortable chairs in the sitting room. Fridge in the room and 24 hour continental breakfast (with plunger coffee) were a nice touch. Darcy's is definitely on our "we'll be back" list!

As of 1st September 2014 Town & Country Motel is under New Management. Yes the motel is older style but it is very clean. We have just replaced all sheets, towels, pillows and protectors and are working hard at making the Town & Country Motel a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and we are family and group friendly. Please give us a go, I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
Great service and accommodation. A very relaxing and peaceful environment. My room was great. You have everything you need. Breakfast in the morning was the best (you have to eat at Bippys). I will be back for sure.

The property was attached to a hotel (pokie venue) which is the only thing I didn’t like about the accommodation. It did surprise me though as the staff were wonderful and the rooms extremely clean and comfortable. For the price it was great and as we had a concert at ANZ stadium the location suited us. There is a huge market next door which was a pleasant way to spend an hour or so. There is a chemist, coffee shop, supermarket and banks in shopping village next door. The train station is a five minute walk which is very handy.

The Horse & Jockey Hotel located in Homebush, is proud to celebrate its rich history, with the original license dating back to 1809. Fast forward to today the hotel has undergone a refurbishment on accommodation for a new modern look and is in the process of refurbishing the other areas while still retaining the charm of a classic Australian pub with its Heritage facade and original brickwork.
Lovely pub and friendly staffs. Delicious food from bistro but closes early at around 9 pm. Very nice hotel rooms with a living room, a smoking area, as well as bathrooms/showers as common spaces for all guests staying in the hotel. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay at H&J hotel during this Easter period.

Stayed three nights at T and M. Jimmy was friendly but clearly is getting used to being a “hotelier”. Plus: very clean room and bathroom. Light and bright room. Negative: noise from guests partying on first night and guests outside at midnight on second night but a text to Jimmy sorted it. Toilet paper felt rationed when one roll was issued on check in. Only a jar of instant coffee and a box of green tea was kept at reception. One towel and bathmat was likewise not generous for a three night stay. Nonetheless it was comfortable and the cleanliness and friendliness was real. I will stay again but that’s ok when you are there for business several streets away. Strathfield has lovely streets for early morning walking and an ok shopping and eating area.

We stayed here for 7 nights over Christmas and new year. The Host Mary is a lovely lady made us all feel very welcome she laid out biscuits food platters and chocolates for all her guest to enjoy over xmas and new year. The rooms are quite basic but done the job for us so wasnt a problem there are 2 bathrooms and it was fine sharing never had to wait to use it. The Guest house is converted from 1 large apartment into rooms which isbetter as it feels like a home which was nice. There is a big train track at the back of the building which you think wold be really noisy, (but it wasn't). didn't ever hear it at night or keep we awake and im a light sleeper. You get to use free tea, coffee, bread milk extra which was really great.nYou also get free use of the swimming pool and sauna which was a bonus as we didn't know about this till we got there. Its about 5 mins walk into Strathfield city where there are restaurants, shopping center, and train station which is really handy to get into the city, and doesn't take long at all. we enjoyed our stay with Mary and would recommend.
