Reviewed By jeffmack4244We arrived to cars and trucks being clean at the entrance facing reception ,so there was a bit of a walk to checkin,The entrance is a bit wornout ,the location is very remote DONT EXPECT ANY FOOD TILL 8 at night We was charge around 200 euros wich was more than advertised online .its not really a 4 star maybe 3 at a push .the rooms were large however our room 203 was above the bar so was not so peacefull .We asked fro some food but were told they had no staff despite being descrbed as a hi end food destination ,The staff were unable to privide any food at 4 . So to sum up i would give it a miss due to its price and poor levels of customer service

Casa rural Errota-Barri is a traditional Basque farm and water mill turned into a modern and comfortable country hotel, offering B&B accommodation in 7 spacious rooms, all with ensuite bathroom and views to the surrounding green lands, woods and mountains. It is set in the middle of lovely countryside, at the foot of Mount Jata, in the municipality of Mungia, Bizkaia. Though secluded, it is close to several sandy beaches, interesting villages and tourist sights, the airport and Bilbao. There are nearby restaurants (one of them, just a walk away) and the neighbouring town of Mungia offers a complete range of services.

Reviewed By FlimFamWe stayed at this beautiful Casa Rural for four nights, a family of five adults in three separate rooms. Everything about our stay was wonderful - the house is gorgeous, well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and the rooms well-equipped with comfortable beds, fresh linens and large bathrooms. Lourdes could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Her breakfasts were abundant and delicious. The house is located in a quaint setting, long-haired sheep in the adjacent meadow, a good restaurant within walking distance, and not far from other attractions in the Basque area. We did day trips using Casa Errota-Barri as our home base - and we felt right at home. We will be back!

It´s a new house built in the year 2003. This year it´s been certificated with the UNE-EN-ISO 9001-2000 level. It´s located down Jata mountain, 8 kilometres away from Bakio beach and 15 minutes away from Bilbao city and Sondika Airport. The house is equipated with 5 rooms, each one with it´s own bathroom, TV, ADSL Internet (cable and WiFi). Also it´s a guest´s hall, private parking and independent entrance.
Great place as a base to explore Basque Country [close to Bilbao].
Reviewed By Paweł OThis is great place, if you want to visit Bilbao and also have a easy way out to get to main roads in the Basque Country. There is convenient bus connection to Bilbao (bus stop is around 1 km from the place), so there is no need to drive around in the city with your car. The hosts are great: English is spoken, always happy to help, smiling. The rooms are really OK and they are cleaned daily. The kitchen can be used anytime by guests. The area is quiet. This is what exactly we were looking for as a base to explore Basque Country.

Reviewed By luchitabostonWe visited the Basque Region for a family event in Bilbao. Our stay at Casa Rural Goiena couldn't be better. It is a well kept country house conveniently located just a 15 minutes ride from Bilbao but with the charm of the country landscape of this area. Very peaceful and comfortable. It was such a great experience because from here you are near to all the attractions and beautiful little villages of this area. Delicious breakfast and the owners were attentive to all our needs. Definitively I hope I can come back anytime soon.

Reviewed By IzaskAlquilamos el txoko para una celebración familiar. Está decorado con mucho gusto. Cuenta con menaje y cocina, aunque nosotros llevamos catering que colocamos en la mesa del comedor. Hay sofás, chimenea y mucho espacio para poder juntarse varias personas sin agobio. Tiene salida directa al jardín. Todo es diáfano, ideal para estar con niños sin peligros. Itxaso estuvo muy pendiente de todo. Solamente podemos decir que es el lugar PERFECTO para celebraciones de amigos o familia.

I had initially been delighted with this little local find...
Reviewed By AbigailB0907This one night stay was off the back off a camper van touring holiday and so we were both excited about the prospect of a real bed and room to move. Upon arriving we were happy with everything: quaint little room overlooking the mountain views and it was so so peaceful. Then we went to sleep. At this point, we were awoken by drunk men returning back making so much noise. Slamming doors, shouting, laughing... for a long time. They were staying in the room next door to us and so we found the walls to be paper thin. We needed to be up and out by 7am anyway but the banging of doors in the morning befoee this time reverberated through, much like a few hours prior to this when the drunk men arrived back to their rooms. Also as well, men congregated outside late at night to converse (again after kick out time at the local bars).... If you just need a stay before the airport then fine but: 1. Make sure you eat before arriving (we couldn't find any local restaurants in walking distance in the town other than bars full of smoke) and 2. Take earplugs.
