The pictures doesn’t give the Majon de Fohten justice! The house is beautiful, very well kept, party and kids friendly and has all you could ask for. The view on the mountains is astonishing and surroundings lovely and peaceful. Marco and Egle were very helpful and welcoming. Everything was easy. Would only wished we stayed longer.

A bit tricky this one : we were redirected at the last minute because our booked hotel had a leak...as a result, we were given this accommodation probably as a last minute thing, so completely understand...room was clean and nice...chalet style so great in the skiing season. Sadly no evening food or bar so had to drive into town : not ideal but suspect this was just because of the short term change .Had to ring on arrival to be let in and for some reason, the number didn't work but we got a local fortunately to ring for us.

It's hard to come up with enough superlatives to describe this place and its proprietress, Patrizia, and the previous reviews have already done a good job with accurate and (deservedly) glowing recommendations. The old farm building (early1800s) that houses the apartments has been beautifully and meticulously renovated. The gardens that Patrizia maintains are beautiful and among the many gorgeous flowers are grape arbors, apple trees and an herb section that we were told to use freely for our cooking. Our apartment, the Salvia, was extremely clean, plenty big enough for two of us and just a really great place from which to explore all that this rather unknown (to Americans, at least) area of Italy offers. I HIGHLY recommend a visit to the Aosta valley and a stay at the Antico Torchio. Here are a few pictures from our visit. http://www.flickr.com/photos/21924651@N08/sets/72157627670910509/
