Fell & Got Injured On Trays Placed In Lobby
Reviewed By kilohsOn November 6th, 2020, my wife and I drove from Phoenix, Arizona, to the Holiday Inn Express in Guaymas, Mexico, for a vacation until November 9th. Upon entering the hotel, we noticed two black plastic trays in the middle of the lobby floor. There were no explanation signs, or warning signs, and we stepped around them. The next day, returning to the hotel after a day at the beach, I tripped over one of the trays and fell.... hard., I was unable to get up off the floor and had to be assisted to a chair to recover. I was not seriously injured but I was shaken up badly and spent the rest of the evening in bed. I COULD have been seriously injured. The next day, I called the Corporate Office to alert them of this negligent injury hazard. I was given a Case Number. Nobody from the Corporate Office has called me back and it is now Tuesday, November 7th. My whole point in calling them was to alert them of this dangerous practice being done by the Holiday Inn Express in Guaymas. Instead, I get the feeling that both the Corporate Office and the facility in Guaymas wish to deny responsibility. The Corporate Office doesn't contact me and the facility claims to not speak English. I have posted images of the trays in the floor. You be the judge about whether this is safe. The next guy to fall might get seriously hurt. Disappointed in the Corporate Office and the facility in Guaymas.

Reviewed By 491edithkWe are driving from Utah to Nayarit and found this gem of a hotel on our first day staying in Mexico. After a long day of flat tires and lengthy permitting and border crossing as we are towing a trailer this hotel was a find. Our room over looks the beach and we slept w the window open so we could hear the waves. The lobby and grounds are lovely old Mexican architecture and a beautiful young girl was enjoying a photo shoot in the lobby to commemorate her 15 years. The restaurant is open 7-3 so we missed dinner but breakfast was delicious. This hotel is huge with RV hook ups too. Highly recommend this place.

Reviewed By Proracer45The check in was easy, person very nice and good English. This is a protected motor lodge with a gate that locks in the evening, so you vehicle should be safe. This is a value lodging , so maybe don’t bring your newly wed wife. Rooms while not extravagant, they are very very clean . Morning breakfast is available, however if you want eggs and meat it will cost $ 1.50 USD. The ladies cooking very nice and pleasant . I had a good experience with my short stay while on a small budget.

Reviewed By Proracer45The issue I experienced was the check-in process. The longest in my 20 years of business. 1 person working at peak check in time around 5 pm. The little young gal working was doing her best with a line up of 4 people waiting to check-in. There was a minimum of three manager types walking by with their hands in their pockets. This is what I had issue with. poor management. The hotel itself is new, but very hospital like sterile. I will pass next time.

Desperately in need of a renovation!

Toilet didn’t flush properly, no hot water, TV didn’t work, dork didn’t close or lock properly, electrical slot didn’t properly and the A/C didn’t work at all. The pool area and garden was nice and the lobby and restaurant present well but the rooms were old, battered and bruised!
