Super cozzy hostel in the city center. Nice people, clean and tidy rooms and activities to socialize. If you are planning to visit Strasbourg you should take into account this hostel. Relation quality-price is perfect and you will meet people from all around the world. Recommended. Will repeat.

Located in the center of the city and close to all the interest of Strasbourg, Ciarus and his new room, welcomes you all year round. The closest Christmas market is at only 5 minutes to walk and the European institutions at 15 min by tram. The establishment has 91 rooms distributed on 4 floors among including 4 adapted to the people with reduced mobility.
Ciarus was a perfectly comfortable and hostel, clean and professionally managed. However it seemed to be devoid of any personality or warmth that I am used to feeling when staying at hostels. There seemed to be no activities organised and the staff while friendly, were too detached. The place felt like a corporate run hotel rather than a hostel. Another issue I had was a lack of lockers in the room. Nevertheless, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the place was fairly well located.

The restaurant is modernly and elegantly decorated. The staff has been nice and friendly too. The best part of this evening was the amazing delicious food. Tuna sashimi and Foie gras are strongly recommended. We had beef as the main course. Also very tasty. The food was so much that there was no space in our stomachs for the dessert afterwards. I would definitely like to go there again

Located in a park along the Rhine River, and only 4.5 km from the city center, the hostel is an ideal location for visiting the cathedral of Strasbourg, the European institutions and the Alsatian vineyards. Accommodation in rooms of 3 to 6 beds. Laundry facilities, restoration and disco-bar are at your disposal. We are located at 900m from the bus stop "Garden of Two Shores", you can consult a plan of situation under the shelter of bus no. 2. (10 Min walk). This inn offers short stays to discover the city of Strasbourg on foot or bicycle in Formula 2 nights or 3 nights. Bicycle rent24 available at the hostel.
Trust all the other reviews. This is a mediocre hostel. It harkens back to the classic industrial strength French FUAJ facities I remember from years ago, but now it is older and stuff doesn't work. We had to change rooms because the first had lights out and a bathroom with standing water. The one we changed in to, at least the lights worked and it was clean, but it was nearly impossible to open the doors due to the ancient card readers, and the beds were scratchy and hard at best. The toilet room was comically small, it was about the size of a bathroom in economy section of an airplane. Not even enough room to turn around. The food was probably the worst part, I'll list exactly what they had: petit pain, jams/jellies, runny eggs, lousy bacon, corn flakes, pain chocolate, sliced turkey. That's it. Literally. It can't possibly have added up to more than €1.50 per person worth of food. I mean, they didn't even have Nutella, nor a baguette, nor regular croissants, nor toast, nor more than 1 egg style, nor beans, nor oatmeal, really nothing to make the breakfast slightly worth it. The girl working as a receptionist when we arrived was also completely disinterested, you could tell we were annoying her by interrupting her video streaming. As for the social aspects, the place was dead. There were no games, no badminton net and equipment to borrow, no football nets, no table tennis, no public area to socialize, just nothing. Completely dead in terms of socialization. There also didn't seem to be hardly anyone there in spite of the French schools already being out and vacation season should have started. Regarding the WiFi, it was barely usable in terms of speed, for example my photo upload never finished even leaving it all night. Also it was set up wrong, the AP nearest our room was broadcasting a network with Strasbourg misspelled as Strasboug so clearly they didn't put that much effort in to it. You had to join again of course if you need to use that AP. Finally, the price. Look, I could see past everything I wrote above if this was cheap hostel prices. But it wasn't €10/bed. It was a total of €76/night for the room. For that price, I can do MUCH better with a hotel or B&B or really anything else. To the FUAJ Strasbourg, either improve your facility and your offerings if you want to charge these prices, or drop your prices down to €10 or €15 per night to line up with what you are offering. You aren't a budget travel place currently, but you also aren't delivering a more expensive experience.

Villa12 Boutique GuestHouse is an Art Nouveau style villa dating back to 1924 where you get more than just a simple standard room. All the 5 rooms are designed individually. You will feel comfortable right away in this very personal location. The hosts Michele & Raphael will welcome you warmly in their stylish Villa. There are two apartments in the Villa. Every apartment offers a common bathroom, salon and kitchen. You will share the bathroom and kitchen with max. two other rooms. Beside the bathroom there is an extra toilet. You will have enough space in the 130m2 to feel private or you can share your stories with the other guests in the house. Free WiFi is included in every room and free private parking is possible on site. A breakfast can be prepared in advanced order. The Villa is located 1 km from the centre of Saint Louis and 7 km from Basel's centre which you can reach by bus in 15 minutes or by car in 5 minutes. Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is a 5 minute drive away but the location is quiet though, because the planes are not allowed to fly over this area. In summer you can enjoy the very spacious garden with lounge and cool spots under the wonderful trees. Or have a drink at the bar in the old stylish barn.
Reading previous reviews we happily booked via Booking.com. So we booked a more expensive balcony room. I received an email from booking.com saying there had been a problem with my credit card, but the booking was secure. So the proprietor was busy seeking payment - but when we arrived the rooms weren’t ready! However, we were put in Room 2 & to be charged the same rate! Meanwhile, Raphael offered us a drink whilst Room 2 (the one we hadn’t requested! Was being made ready!) Very kind of him & very affable too. When we were shown the room our hearts sank! A mattress on palettes! What had we come too? Then eyes slightly wider opened : the place can best be described as bohemian! I gather some people like this style - we too sometimes! But, then there was the mess in the kitchen & a notice for us to use the facilities. But to wash all the dishes that are already in the sink?? (Which made it impossible for us to wash anything!) Disappointing too - in that we were apparently the only guests! Sorry, but we can cope with a lot & then to have to pay €72 - SO many other places offering good value with ensuite facilities with proper beds! When we were thinking about settling down for the night we noticed there weren’t any curtains too. We struggled with some roll down blinds - but we had to seek help to utilise them. Needless we won’t be going back, but it’s always a personal choice. We had noted the negative comments of €5 each for a piece of bread & a coffee. We went to the Lidl at the back of the house for bits - which worked well. On a more positive note, lovely people!
