VISAVUORI is the museum of the life and works of sculptor Emil Wikstrom (1864-1942)
Visavuori is a few kilometres off from the main road Tampere-Helsinki. Worth the break. The old buildings tell us about the work of one of the most famous Finnish the sculptors from the time when the nationalism broke out in Finland. The new building from the 1970’s show us the works of the most famous Finnish cartoonist.

Gustaf is a storytelling museum in the former head office of a paper combine. Impressive main exhibition Paper Devil takes you through a route of eight dramatized scenes depicting the colourful life of a paper industry pioneer, Gustaf Adolf Serlachius. Serlachius bus: Tampere - Mänttä - Tampere direct to the museums.

The buildings Ylojarvi open-air museum are brought from different parts of Ylojarvi. The collection displays the daily life of old times; farming, forging, tailoring and shoe-making. A summer in the museum includes various events, including a play produced by Vahanta Youth Association. The are various events aimed especially for children and their cultural and historical education.
