Great place to learn and understand Apalachee Native American history. The archaeology is well conceived and presented to lay people as well as more deeply available to trained or avid students of archaeology. The living history events are especially interesting. Place for everyone.

Learn about the first governor and his great-great grandaughter's husband (the 33rd governor). The house has lots of history from territory to the present, from slave owner to civil rights governor. It's a respite from the city with lots of gardens and trees. And an opportunity to see an historic house as museum. (Free parking also.)

This building replaced the "Old Capitol" for state government business.
If you live in Florida or visit Tallahassee you must go to the new Capitol building. Walk through the rotunda at the entrance, and make your way passed the Governors office and Chief Financial Officers offices as well as the Secretary of Agriculture on the first floor. The walls are covered with the exceptional women of Florida stories and their pictures, and there is a gift shop with amazing and beautiful gifts...and that’s just part of the first floor. Rest a while at Sharkeys Grille and enjoy a daily special, or just wait for the Governor to stroll by. Dont miss this, and enjoy Florida’s Capitol.
Meginnis-Monroe House is a historic antebellum home restored in 1852 that holds the Lemoyne Art Gallery.
