A beautiful collection of American Craft, gifts, fine art,raw & outsider art, & folk art by Nationally and locally known artists.
We had a fantastic time in Madrid and perhaps the highlight was the stop in the Calliope Gallery. This gallery has a very impressive selection of art from a range of local artists and pieces. Some of the artwork created by the proprietors. I am particularly fond of the raku faces made by the proprietor's wife. His gentleman is informative, friendly, and interesting.

This is why you take the longer route from the airport to Santa Fe... Love this quirky shop in Madrid and it's personable owner with his eclectic flavors in edition to familiar ones. One of my favs was that I had was the spicy mango covered in chocolate (soooo good...flavor I remember but the name escapes me, sorry). Chocolate Pistachio and the Chocolate Raspberry...also good ones. I wish I had purchased the Chocolate Lavender. When I return to this region I will drive to stop in and see Harvey Shugarman and get my chocolate fix...fixes! Keep the flavors coming Harvey!

This is a fun place to stop if you have ever see the movie Wild Hogs. If you are lucky like me I caught them at a time they weren’t busy. Got a great photo. If you want a New Mexico souvenir this is the stop. Remember you will not be eating here????. Visit the Mine Shaft right down the street for a great meal BBQ Pork sandwich was outstanding.
