Ponta Delgada (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpõtɐ ˌðɛɫˈɣaðɐ]) is the largest municipality (concelho) and administrative capital of the Autonomous Region of the Azores in Portugal. It is located on São Miguel Island, the largest and most populous in the archipelago. The population in 2011 was 68,809, in an area of 232.99 square kilometres (89.96 square miles). There are 17,629 residents in the three central civil parishes that comprise the historical city: São Pedro, São Sebastião, and São José. Ponta Delgada became the region's administrative capital under the revised constitution of 1976; the judiciary and Catholic see remained in the historical capital of Angra do Heroísmo while the Legislative Assembly of the Azores was established in Horta.

We hired two bikes and a seat for our 20 month old. Unlike some of the bike hire companies on the island we could actually visit the store. Sofia was excellent we tried our daughter in the seat before we hired she recommended a route in Furnas lake there is a charge for dropping the bikes off and picking up for us it was around 50 euros so factor that in, however she arrived at the the same time we did and when we called her it took 30 mins for her to pick the bikes up. Bikes were perfect for the trail BTwin a great humax baby seat great service.

A Small but Dedicated to service Company. Very warm, open and friendly people. The pick up at the airport was easy and fun. The quality of our vehicle - Opel Zephira - was great. Although I got rusty after having not driven a car with a standard transmission for 23 years (it seems because of very steep roads on the Island all the cars are standard) I regained the skill very quickly and navigated our lovely minivan on the incredibly narrow and steep roads with confidence. The car was 2019, it had a very economical diesel engine, and in four days of driving throughout the entire Island from Mosterios to Nordeste and in between we used only about one third of the tank. The gas station that Azores Easy Rent receives a discount from was excellent and they serve one of the best, if not the best coffees, we tried in Portugal.
