9 Gear Rentals in Chattanooga That You Shouldn't Miss

June 23, 2021 Alida England

The name "Chattanooga" comes from the Creek Indian word for "rock coming to a point." This refers to Lookout Mountain, one of the city's major attractions. Here visitors can explore extraordinary rock formations, see a roaring enclosed waterfall and travel by train to the top of the mountain for truly awesome vistas. Back down on the ground, don't miss the world's largest freshwater aquarium, the Tennessee Aquarium. History enthusiasts will love the city's museums dedicated to Civil War, Native American and 20th-century history. More than anything, Chattanooga is a scenic city, full of natural wonders waiting to be explored by foot, car, bike or train.

L2 Outside

There's no better way to enjoy the Scenic City than by SUP, the world's fastest growing watersport, or by kayaking our beautiful riverfront! SUP (Standup Paddle Boarding) is enjoyed as much on the flat waters of East Tennessee as on surf. It's surprisingly easy to learn, offers a great full body workout, and is fun for all ages and ability levels. We offer rentals, lessons, Sunset Tours and various group options for both SUP and kayak. Get on the water with us and enjoy one of the most unique ways to experience downtown Chattanooga! L2 Outside also offers the largest selection of longboards in the Chattanooga area. We are conveniently located across from the Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga.
