The geographical heart of England, Birmingham started life as a sixth- century Anglo-Saxon village. Today, much of this city of over a million dates back to post-WWII redevelopment in the 1950s and 60s. Cutting edge museums and galleries, innovative theaters and excellent shopping have contributed to Birmingham's appeal as a weekend break destination. Don't miss the hopping bars and cafes of Gas Street Basin or the fascinating creatures at the National Sea Life Centre.

We think that Urban Axe Throwing is the most satisfying and social day or night out you’ll ever have. And we’ve tried a few. You’ll be slinging axes side by side against your friends or colleagues, hitting bulls-eyes and cheering on your mates. All backed up with great music and atmosphere and a chance to socialise between throws. Our experienced throwing coaches will get your throwing like a pro in no time. Then once you’ve got the hang of it we’ll take you and your group through a tournament until the king or queen of axes is crowned. Without knowing what to expect we arrived quite open minded, getting split into teams of complete strangers very quickly become your protectors and you are quickly left begging the one with the machine gun not to leave you as you are an emotional scared wreck in the pitch black with the scariest zombies hot on your tail around every corner..... and thank you for not leaving me :) the whole 3 hours were filled with adrenolin and tears of laughter and pure fright from start to finish. The swot team are amazing, very safety concious and very funny and helpful throughout the session. We will be doing another experience once we know our hearts can take it. Thanks for a brilliant morning guys x

Absolutely loved our session today. 3 hours free parking and very Covid safe. Extremely impressed at how attentive the staff were. What a gem of a place. Here with a 10 year old...well worth an extra £3 for additional half an hour while mum read her magazine cover to cover! Spotlessly clean and met the needs of many different age groups. I'm climbing next time ha
