Beautiful setting and highly complimentary to a visit to the Sea of Galilee. Beautiful setting, lively sense of arrival. We had a wine tasting of a selection of wines. Notable are the Sauvignon Blanc and the award winning Elias and Cabarnet Sauvignon. Jane was very friendly, proactive and forward thinking and helped with wines that were not on their usual wine list to buy (which is outstanding, we simply needed a specific gift). Open on Saturday and highly recommended.

Few years ago, one could see and hear the unrest on the Syrian side from here. Israel has been taken in thousands of wounded Syrians and providing them with medical treatment which wouldn't be available to them anywhere else. Mt Bental - the battle itself was held during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. It was one of the largest tank battles ever and was miraculously won by the Israelis (160 tanks). The Syrians attacked with 1,500 tanks and 1,000 artillery pieces. The Israeli army suffered large casualties as well and by the time the battle was over, only 7 Israeli tanks were operational. After 900 of the Syrian tanks were destroyed, the Syrians turned and fled, leaving the land for the victorious Israelis. Today, to remember the bloody battle, the valley below the mountain is called the Valley of Tears. Certainly worth a visit!!!! Keep in mind, it gets cold and windy on the top of the Mt. Bental.

Great plane and great wines. We really loved it. The wines (all of them) were perfect and so was the accompanying food (BBQ meet). The wine here is one of the best in Israel (bought a 12 bottles of Shiraz). Waiting for the next visit.

Olive oil and wine! What a great combination. Our group had a delightful presentation by a New Yorker - great sense of humor. She explained the history of the company, the process of making olive oil, and the benefits of the beauty products. We were also treated to hand treatments as well as a tasting of all the olive oils. What a wonderful break in our trip. The shop had a great selection for purchase - did purchase wine and several bottles of the olive oils for gifts. Take your time for the presentation and samplings. Everyone in our group enjoy the stop and bought something - for themselves and as gifts. Great afternoon!

We went past and decided to visit. A memorial site for soldiers who had died, we presume whilst conquering the Golan Heights off Syria. Embattled tanks are scattered around and when looking over the border with Syria one can see the fields of mines (marked as dangerous). There was a group of soldiers sat in the amphitheater on site. Beautiful views and landscapes. There are no entry fees / opening hours. It is open 24/7
