Part of the Otter Crest Loop Road is one way only south bound, so best driven from the north end where it conects to Hiway 101. The vistas are breath taking, very worth the 15 minute diversion!

There is always a great photo opportunity when you stop at this wayside. There is plenty of parking so you can stretch you legs and plenty to see (crashing waves) to fill your senses as you make your way up or down 101.

We are a family owned and operated candy shop on the Oregon coast. We have used the same recipes for the past seventy years we have been in business. Come on by and watch us make our candy right there in the shop! We specialize in fresh, homemade candies and use local ingredients whenever possible.
I'm not a real fan of Taffy because it always sticks to my teeth. Ainslee's taffy is so fresh it just melts in your mouth! Many different yummy flavors to choose from and they were all so good I couldn't decide which one was my favorite. Though the cinnamon flavor was delicious. Ainslee also offers sugar free taffy which is imported from a Portland Oregon Taffy factory. The SF taffy was good but not quite as fresh. We also purchased some SF chocolate turtles and chocolate coconut stacks which were very tasty. Ainslee offers popcorn in different varieties and ice cream and lots of different candies. The staff were super nice, the gentleman behind the big cooker was kind enough to let me take a picture, posing just right! If you have kids, they are going to LOVE coming here and if you don't have kids, YOU are going to love coming here. Highly recommend.

Easy on and off US 101 access; lots of free parking; clean restrooms; beach access; and lots of grassy areas for the dogs to run. What could be better.

My husband is a veteran and every time we come to Depoe Bay for vacation, we come here. The store is small, but is packed with memorabilia for all wars. I did note to the owner that he is lacking in Korean War Veterans stuff. He indicated that he would try to get more. My father is a Korean War Vet and we bought him a hat there. My husband a hat there and than when we got home order another hat for a veteran we know. If I could, I would spend much more money there than I should. The owner is very nice and attentive to your needs.
