The mandate of the Art Gallery of Northumberland is to promote and provide access to art and related programs as a community gallery for the enjoyment and education of the people of Northumberland County. We exist to serve all of Northumberland County as a public gallery. We present intellectually stimulating exhibitions and programming, as well as maintain a permanent collection of visual arts. Along with exhibitions we fulfill our mandate through educational activities which encourage active dialogue between the Gallery audience and the visual arts; including lectures, films, workshops, artist talks and tours. Student educational programs are provided both in the Gallery and in the classroom. Special programs for secondary school students have been developed in collaboration with community schools and teachers.

Everything baked on premises, and lots of fresh produce grown on their heritage farm, or from locally sourced producers. I visit at least once or twice a week.

Great local produce at great prices. Loads of fresh veggies, sausage rolls, cheese, beautiful flowers, and much more...always love buying local and prices are fabulous.

We have sailed here a number of times. This is a popular marina and it would be wise to call ahead especially on busy summer weekends. The marina office monitors VHF 68 and is open for generous hours. The staff are always friendly. Spacious and clean washrooms and showers are available to all boaters staying at the Marina. Fuel dock is open long hours too and fuel prices are quite reasonable. The harbour is well sheltered and within easy access to Cobourg's main street, shops and tourist attractions. Just west of the marina is a boardwalk and nature trail that is worth exploring. One of the most comfortable places for a boat on Lake Ontario! The marina is also a prime location for watching Canada Day fireworks.
