This review is long overdue. But when a friend asked me what they should do while in France I had to recommend this day trip with Yvonne. Yvonne tailor made our day so that my husband and I were able to see the things most important to us. Her knowledge of the area is truly wonderful. We were able to visit little villages, talk to the shop owners, taste incredible food and see sights we would not have explored on our own. Of course her Mercedes was very clean and comfortable. Yvonne is a warm and friendly host. The day spent with her as our guide was the highlight of our trip to France.

This is a review about our experience "so far" with Christopher and Ooh Provence. A number of months ago, as usual, I did extensive research and found a photographer and I contacted him to see about a photo experience while in Marseille. He responded immediately and then told me about his tour company which extends beyond just photography. It was perfect...a guide that could help 2 amateur photographers get some unique shots in a great city plus learn about the history at the same time. I find this is a great way to explore a city. So, of course ,I booked and paid the deposit etc. and we confirmed our date. Then along came Covid 19 and I finally had to cancel .This company offers full refund up to 24 hours in advance of tour and Christopher had no problem with an immediate refund. I will add that is not the case with some hotels etc. I am so impressed with the customer service under very extraordinary circumstances and will definitely book with Ooh Provence in the future when we can return post Covid. Based on my experience so far I am sure we will have a great time touring Marseille and the surrounding area with Christopher. I often find the true test of a good travel company is how they handle unexpected problems and can be flexible. Christopher delivers on this for sure!!

9. Lavender fields of Provence & Forcalquier provençal street markets private tour

OohProvence

Be totally immersed in the exquisite natural beauty of the Lavender fields of the Valensole plateau on a full-day private guided tour from Marseille or Aix-en-Provence. Visit the tiny village of Valensole, the fortified village of Forcalquier and Simiane La Rotonde that sit against the backdrop of the Luberon mountain range. Browse artisanal lavender shops and markets as well as see for yourself the production of the Lavender planting and essential oils. These are small group private tours so you are assured of a very special day out in the region. The Lavender season is short, so enjoy this at its best - June through July is idea, although we do offer the tour throughout the year, but with a slight variation on the day. Historic tiny Provençal villages, ancient markets and medieval towns & the culture of the south of France.
