In 1582, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, Ieyasu was fleeing from Kyoto through Iga, and one of our ancestors escorted him together with the famous Hattori Hanzo, to Ise. This historical incident is called "Iga-goe" or Iga Crossing. Ieyasu, impressed by the Iga ninjas that he hired them to work for the government. Our ancestors served the Tokugawa Shogunate for 265 years. They were called "shinobi-samurai". In our Shinobi-Samurai Honjin dojo, you're learning directly from masters of the art with a long lineage and history . This is one of the authentic experiences, from the actual techniques to reasons behind them. Our interpreters are also our clan members who know our arts well.
