A must visit place if you are in Pune, Visit this place for its history, thrill , beauty & of course Zunka/ pithla bhakari with Dahi . If travelling by car one can reach near base of fort , still one has to climb 150+ steps , but real fun is climbing from village , this is almost 8 km trek , one should make a climb once .

The place hosts some well maintained cannons. The fort seems quite small from outside....but it has a garden and other ruins inside. The top of the fort provides a good view of the surrounding mountain ranges.

The panoramic view of Kulaba Fort from the Alibag Beach was simply enigmatic. We had a choice, either to walk in knee deep water or take a cart ride and watch the horses gallop in sea water which changes as per the tidal waves. We opted for the latter. After a fun filled joy ride in the cart we reached the Kulaba Fort. The entire fortification was carefully constructed and the ruins were still intact inside. We strolled leisurely inside the fort while clicking many photos to preserve the memory of the visit. The fort is a must visit to Alibag and one marvels at the ruins which tell a story of a bygone era. The entire fort has to be explored on foot and one gets an enchanting view of the sea on all sides from the top most portion of the fort. It was worth visiting the fort.
