We also provide a reliable mountain bike hire service utilising a fleet of fully equipped Merida One-Forty 700 dual suspension mountain bikes. We pride ourselves on tailoring custom made adventures that you won’t forget!
We had our car relocated from Lyell to the end of the Old Ghost Road. Buller Adventures provided an excellent service with great communication and we also got bonus shower vouchers so we could have a shower at the end at the Rough and Tumble lodge. Having the car waiting for us at the end was the perfect way to end a perfect trip.

4 of us walked TOGR over 4 nights, 5 days. It was awesome. We walked south to north, and the first two days it rained, so on Day 3 when we awoke to beautiful blue skies we walked back 2.5klms without our packs first thing in the morning from Ghost Lake hut, so that we could see the views from Heavens Door and the Tombstone. So glad we did, the views were absolutely worth it. The terrain and scenery on this track is ever changing, and always spectacular. Great huts, well equipped and plenty of hand sanitiser available. Thanks to the people who built this track and to those who maintain it. Loved it!

Our trip to Denniston was surrounded in cloud due to the wet weather. Fortunately, none of the ambiance was taken away, if not enhanced by the mist covered ruins and step cliffs. Such intriguing history and such a dangerous environment for the miners to work in back in the early days of West Coast mining.

My 2 Brothers and I went to the West Coast Brewery last Saturday. The Lady there was so helpful and well informed about their beers. We each tried the sampling tray. They certainly have some great beers there. I certainly would recommend a visit to the West Coast Brewery.

From the “Light house” car park the walk along this wonderful stretch of NZ coastline to the Fur Seal colony took us 45 mins each way allowing us multiple stops for photos. If you have the time it’s well worth it. On a clear day from the point you can see up to Karamea and down to Mt Cook. NZ for free at its best. #nzforfree

We spent over an hour in the Museum, great collection of historical information relating to the importance of coal mining in the district. I enjoyed the mixture of photos, info boards, videos and personal artifacts. Staff were helpful, and friendly. Only $10 entry fee for adults, money well spent. Set us up with the knowledge to explore Denniston etc

An I-Site with an abundance of information, with dedicated staff who have an extensive knowledge of the local area. You can also book a variety of travel here, including accommodation and Doc bookings for the great walks. We also have a large selection of retail, some from local artists around our region.
Helpful and welcoming personal, could answer all my questions and even gave me additional information

Fantastic walk from carpark up to Tauranga Bay seal colony, lots of information boards. Wide walkways and viewing platforms. We were saddened by the lack of seals 2x adults and numerous pups. The pups were having a lot of fun in the pools of water and clambering around the rocks. We last visited 26 years ago and there is a marked difference in the number of seals. Great parking and clean toilets. A must do in Westport.
