Went for a midweek brewery tour with a tasting at conclusion of the tour. Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and were shocked a the number of beers they produce for companies throughout the world. At conclusion you also get an assortment of beer/soda and glass to take home. Looks like we will be back as the kids loved the soda when they sampled after I brought it home.

Open May-October. The only National Historic Cheesemaking Center Museum in the United States. Take a step back in time as you enter the century old Imobersteg Farmstead Cheese Factory that was lost in history for almost 100 years. Veteran cheesemakers and knowledgeable guides lead tours, offering colorful stories about cheesemaking, cheesemakers and the rich cheese factory history from the old world to the new world, and the rich heritage that still exists in today's industry. The past comes alive as a testimonial to "An era that was, that will never be again." John Bussman - 1994
The volunteers and staff at the Historic Cheesemaking Center do an amazing job. The gentelman who guided me on a tour through the old cheese factory and the museum was very knowledgeable. Our family has roots in the Green County cheese and dairy industry, and it was so cool to see the index folder of historical cheese factories on file! A great experience for anyone young or old who wants to learn not only about cheesemaking, but the cultural and historic fabric of Wisconsin and America.

The Historic Green County Courthouse was built in 1891, and since that time the soaring clock tower has steadily marked the passing of time on the Square in downtown Monroe. The building is open weekdays (8 am - 4:30 pm) and offers a self-guided tour, a history room, and a photo opp with gavel and robe at the judge's bench.
The iconic feature in downtown Monroe, WI and center of all festivals, the Green County Courthouse stands central to the downtown square and provides a historic backdrop to summer concerts, the Cheese Festival and all city events. Come experience the charm of this little Swiss heritage town!
