Wonderful walk (and we did it in the pouring rain!) on paths beautifully maintained by National Trust Scotland.

Family friendly stop, with caravan site, café, fishery and seasonal garden centre. Everything is made freshly to order wherever possible, and is filled with home baking goodies. Small animals to visit and free play park make it a suitable destination for any traveller. Wheelchair friendly with all areas on the one level and and food intolerances catered for as best we can. Table bookings can be taken to make your visit extra special and help give staff an advanced warning of any large parties or special occasions, helping make your visit even more unique. Caravan site small but perfectly situated not far from the town centre so easily access for evening walks and for popping to the pub or for a meal. Booking is essential for guaranteed electric spaces. We have small accommodation pods now for hire, between the months of April and October. These can be booked through us or Airbnb. Linen is included with these cabins so it makes ideal stop of points if your walking or cycling.
Visited Green Frog twice on our short motorcycling trip to Moffat. Really nice gem of a place in lovely peaceful surroundings. So enjoyed our coffee and cake and browse in garden centre & shop on the Friday that we went back for breakfast Saturday. Great fresh cooked food (and those amazing cakes!!) Lovely friendly staff made us feel really welcome - took time to make sure every area Covid-safe and that we had everything we wanted. Highly recommend a stop here - ideal location if you're travelling up or down. We will definitely be back and hope to book into one of the pods and stay longer.

And overlooking the town, all eyes are drawn to this impressive monument. A ram standing on a pile of rocks, this is a reminder to all of how important sheep farming is to the area. Even more impressive at night!

The Coachman Bar is very much the heart of the local community. A recent refurbishment has brought out it's best features making it bright and airy yet warm and welcoming. It celebrates the history of Moffat with huge wall to wall murals, some truly stunning images. The bar offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages, typical of a good British bar and offers good quality "pub grub" provided by the Beef Tub Comfort Grill's kitchen. Every Saturday night it hosts live music provided by local musicians and bands, mostly covers.
Visited Moffat this weekend and went in as it stated Dogs Welcome. Pub is a step back in time, with friendly bar staff who made my wee pup welcome with doggy biscuits and water. Decent prices and a good music channel on the TV, Friday was also karaoke, Saturday music channel/sport, visited again Sunday night but was quieter. Toilets clean which is also worth mentioning. If you’ve got a furry friend in tow this is the place, would happily return.

Love visiting Moffat Woolen Mill, with our wee dog, always welcoming, friendly staff and great range of items to choose from. It would be good to have a little area separate to eat in at the cafe that you could take your dog but overall a fantastic shopping experience.
