The Bicol Region, also known simply as Bicol, (Central Bicolano: Rehiyon nin Bikol/Kabikolan; Rinconada Bicol: Rehiyon ka Bikol; Filipino: Kabikulan; Spanish: Bicolandia) is a region of the Philippines, designated as Region V. Quitinday Underground River

Reviewed By 730jarreda - Monroe, United States

Jovellar is an awesome place for familes or couples looking for adventure. The locals are extremely friendly and the guides are very courteous and knowledgeable. If you plan to self drive, make sure to be careful as some of the local roads are steep. The underground river tour and falls will last approximately 30 minutes and is totally worth the drive. The short hike to the location is about 10 minutes and is not difficult. If there have recently been heavy rains, you can expect the water to be brown instead of the usual green/blue. As far as the difficulty on navigating the falls area and entrance to the boats, I would not recommend it for anyone who would have difficulty navigating a bamboo ladder, stairs or slippery rocks.

Bulusan Lake

Been here several times before but the last one was probably 2 decades ago. So i was excited to see the park again, see whether improvements were made with regard to facilities as well as if the lake and forest have been maintained. In my opinion, the lake has maintained its beauty and charm and the place is as thickly-forested as before. Now, they have a 340-meter long hanging bridge to further enhance the trekking experience. There is also a floating massage cottage and kayaks are available for rent for those wishing to paddle around the lake.

An unexpected and wonderful experience swimming at the falls. The additional dives and snorkeling along the way were a real bonus.

Visited Sumlang Lake as part of a business tour package. We were served lunch on a raft in the middle of the lake. The food served was delicious. There was a cooling breeze that made the whole dining experience very relaxing. I will have to bring my family back here.
